She Was In Paris

The next day, Travis got up early and snuck out of the bedroom. He went outside and decided to text Jack Antonoff. Maybe he had an idea where he could get the guitar fixed. It was embarrassing to admit that he destroyed the guitar but he wanted to try to make it right. Jack was probably still asleep so Travis decided to prepare breakfast. Taylor sighed when she woke up and found the other side of the bed to be empty. Grabbing her phone to look at the clock, she noticed a message from Jack: "Your man texted me. Asked for the best guitar repair person I know. Do you know about this?" Taylor smiled a little. It still hurt to know her guitar was broken but Travis really seemed to care. "I do. It was an accident. I don't think there's much to repair but we're good", she quickly answered before getting out of bed.

She found Travis in the kitchen just making the last coffee. "Good morning big boy", she joked. "Argh, I was about to bring breakfast upstairs", he explained hinting at the tray. "Well, now I'm here. I heard you asked Jack for help?", she noted. He sighed looking at her apologetically. "I knew he'd probably tell you but I wanted to find the best person who could eventually do something for your guitar", he admitted coming over for a hug. "I'm sorry, Allie", he apologized again. Not for asking Jack but for destroying her instrument. "It's okay now. I think I was mostly shocked yesterday. I'm sad of course but... in the end, it's just a guitar and I'm glad that you didn't hurt yourself", she told him before kissing him softly. "Do you still want to have breakfast in bed?", he suggested. Taylor agreed and so they went back upstairs.

The couple enjoyed the weekend together mostly just cuddling because then, Taylor had to leave for Paris and Travis would only join her for the last show. The flight to Europe was boring but Taylor was excited to play again and especially to show her fans the new set. Having to cut a couple of songs that were really close to her heart still hurt a little bit but there was no way she could pull off an even longer show. Her body was already at its limits, she knew that. Entering the hotel suite, she fell onto the bed with a sigh. She was tired from the flight but if she'd sleep now, the jet lag would be worse. So she got through some work instead. Tree stopped by and they planned some things out together too. "By the way, your Italy trip is all planned and safe", her publicist told her. "Oh, thank you so much! I hope Travis likes it", she sighed already missing him again. "I'm sure he will. You guys really should get some time off. Put your phones away and just be there. You deserve it", Tree smiled. Taylor wanted to surprise Travis with a short trip to Italy after her Paris shows. He had done so much for her, always finding time and traveling after her now and in the upcoming weeks. She just wanted to give something back and have time for just them. Even if it was just a few days.

When they talked on the phone later, Travis also admitted that he had never seen the Eiffel Tower and she promised him that they'd go and see it after her last Paris show when he'd be here. But then it was finally time to sleep for Taylor even though her jet lag told her otherwise. Travis had some time to talk her to sleep via phone though and that made it easier. She had a show to put on the next day and even though Travis again didn't have much time, he wanted to watch some parts on some live streams if he could. And he did just that. Catching on during the new set, he got to witness everyone go crazy about it. Taylor looked gorgeous in the white dress with a black bra peeking out just a little bit. God, she was so hot and her confidence floored him on top of that. The emotions she put into it made him shiver even if he could just see it on his tiny phone screen. She even had the perfect poker face after being carried to the red couch.

He choked a little when suddenly one of her dancers opened her dress. He had seen the practice without costumes and hadn't been able to fully understand what they'd do. But they were really showing a quick change on stage. Even though it wasn't that quick and Taylor pretended like she didn't want to continue. But for some reason, it made him proud to see her confident in basically just some black underwear on stage. Because he knew that she was sure about it. That she was okay with her body the way it was now. He had seen different times even in the short time they had been together and this made him smile. The jacket she then wore fit perfectly for the following performances.

Travis clung to his phone for the rest of the show even though he should've been working. He just couldn't miss out on the new bodysuit for the Midnights set. She had been teasing him about that for weeks now and when she had said that the new one was even sexier, then she was definitely right. What would he give to be able to be there now? He wanted to hug her after the show, let his arms wrap around her, and maybe have his hands slide over her warm skin the cutouts let show. And he wanted to hear "Guy on the Cheifs" again. Just when Taylor had left the stage, Travis got a message: "Meeting started. Where are you?" Has he been sitting in a car for that long? Apparently, yes. So he ran into the building quickly joining the meeting and apologizing multiple times. But as soon as everyone's attention was somewhere else again, he texted Taylor: "Saw you since TTPD on a stream. You were incredible! Can't wait to see it in person!"

Taylor smiled at his message and answered quickly before taking a shower and going back to her hotel. It felt good to be back and even better to be able to share the new songs live. So many people already knew every word. For a while, Taylor just scrolled through her socials taking in a couple of reactions while eating her late-night dinner before going to bed. The next two days were pretty much the same but after her third show, she knew that Travis would arrive sometime this night and she could not sleep. No matter how much she needed it.
