Travis just arrived at the hotel in Gelsenkirchen when one of the bodyguards who were with him got a call. "Yeah, we just arrived", he said. Travis got a little nervous. After everything that was going on with this stalker right now, calls from security weren't good. "Okay, yeah. No, sure. We'll bring him up and then support you guys", the man continued to explain. Travis wondered what they needed support for and he decided to check his own phone. Maybe Taylor had contacted him. "When do you arrive", she had texted not long ago. It seemed hurried because she usually used punctuation and this message didn't have the question mark it would need. "Room 436? Okay", the bodyguard asked into his phone again. The room number didn't sound like the usual suite. They normally had more or less round numbers. But the call ended and the man turned to him.

"Okay, small change of plans. We bring you to room 436. Taylor is there now too. Is it alright with you if we explain everything there?", he asked. "Yes", Travis agreed gathering his things. "Is Tay okay?", he had to know before they left the car. "She's safe, yes", the man assured him. That wasn't really what he had meant but it was good to know anyway. When they finally made their way inside, Travis got more and more impatient. He wanted to know what was going on. Did the stalker show up here? Was that why everyone seemed so on edge? He picked up a key card at the reception and then they took the elevator up. Security brought him the whole way there and they met another bodyguard of hers at the door. He greeted him politely and then opened the door. "Taylor, I'm sure he's almost there", he heard Tree. Quick steps were echoing through the room too. "Tay?", he carefully said when he saw her walking up and down nervously. She turned around with a jump holding her arms in front of herself defensively before recognizing him.

"Travis", she breathed out relieved, and ran to hide in his arms. "Hey baby", he mumbled holding her close. His eyes met Tree's and she smiled a little at him. "What's going on here, Tay?", he finally wanted to know. Taylor sighed not wanting to let go of him just yet. "They had to move us here. I... there...", she stuttered and he noticed how tense her body reacted. "Shh, hey, let's sit down, hm?", he suggested and gently pulled her over to the bed. Tree sat on the only chair in the fairly small room just giving them space for a moment. "There was a package in front of the door", Taylor whispered when they had gotten comfortable on the bed. Sitting in his lap, she finally felt a little better after the chaos of the past hour. "From that guy?", Travis assumed correctly looking over at her publicist who nodded silently. Taylor agreed too making him sigh. "He knows the hotel, he knew my room, Trav. He... he got in here and placed something in front of the door", she mumbled hiding her face in his shoulder. Travis wrapped his arms around her tightly. "So we stay here instead?", he asked gaining a nod from her again.

"Okay. But your security is right at the door now. It's safe now, baby", he tried to calm her down a little. "I know", she whispered. "But it was so scary", Taylor added unable to hold back her tears any longer. This "present" in front of her room had scared the shit out of her and she had just barely managed to not have a panic attack. A man who had threatened them both over the past few weeks had turned into a seriously dangerous situation. He had been at her door. Maybe he was still around the hotel somewhere. "I know, Tay. It's okay. I'm here now. I got you", he told her silently rubbing her back in soothing motions. "I'll get back to you", Tree silently excused herself. She didn't see a point in waiting here now. There'd be some things to talk about but now didn't seem to be the right moment. Travis nodded at her before getting back to whispering sweet nothings into his girlfriend's ear. "It's dangerous for you too", she mumbled. "More than for me maybe", she added looking up at him to make her point come across with the urgency she wanted it to have. "I know, baby. But we're in this together now. Your security is there for both of us and I'm here to hold you", he told her before kissing her head.

But Taylor shook her head. "Trav, you're in danger here. If he got through to us, you'd be the one to get hurt. Because he... because he wants me and you have me", she explained again. "Tay, I know. I understand that. What are you trying to tell me?", he asked taking her hands in his. "It's not safe for you here. You... maybe you shouldn't be here", she mumbled already tearing up again. Travis quickly shook his head pulling her into a hug again. "Don't say that. Don't push me away because you think it's safer. I'm just as safe as you are with the guards at the door. And I will not leave you alone when you're scared", he stated holding her head against his chest. He wouldn't go. Simply because if it came to the point, he'd be her last security and he'd fight for her. But he didn't want to say that. It would only scare her more.

"I don't know how I can get on stage later", she whispered honestly. She didn't even feel safe here. How should she feel safe on a stage in front of tens of thousands of people? "Allie, I'm right there with you, okay? I know you can do it. The stage security is prepped, Tree said that back in Amsterdam. It's gonna be okay", he said. "Can you come backstage with me until the last moment?", she asked. "Of course, baby. I'll bring you as far as I am allowed to be with you and I'll pick you up right there after the show, okay?", he suggested. Taylor nodded still not willing to end this hug. "I'm so sorry your last few shows are like this. Our last few days before you gotta go on training camp", she said. "Oh Tay, don't be sorry. It's not your fault. We'll make the most of it in the best way we can, okay? And if it's just cuddling all night, I'm happy to hold you", he assured her. "I don't know if I can let you go when this is still going on on Friday", she admitted. "If it is, I'll try to stay a day longer, until you're out of this city at least", he said. "But your camp", she mumbled. "Fuck that. I'm not gonna leave you like this, Tay. I love you", he repeated his reassurance with a little more attitude. "I love you too", she answered and stole a kiss.

They had to get to the stadium soon but today Travis stayed by Taylor's side as much as he could. Her bodyguards were a little closer than usual too but when the soundcheck went well, Taylor calmed down a little. It helped her to concentrate on something else. At least until it was time to get ready and let the people in. Tree told them a couple of times that the security was good there and that she didn't know how something could go wrong. Of course, she was worried too but she tried to not let it show for Taylor's sake. Just before Taylor was meant to get to the stage, Tree got a notification from the local security that let her breathe out. She quickly jogged over to Taylor who was hiding in Travis' arms for comfort but already prepared for the show. "Tay, Travis", she said to get their attention. The couple looked at her in anticipation. She seemed happy. "I just got notice that the local crew was able to pick out our man. Police are on their way. They might be here already and as far as I could figure out about the past few days, they are likely to hold him in until we leave Gelsenkirchen. We gave them his messages for proof", Tree explained. "They got him?", Taylor asked in disbelief. "Yeah! We're good to go! No need to worry. Besides... we're running a little late, you gotta go", Tree noticed shoving them both out of the door. Travis felt that not only his own body lost a lot of tension with this news. Taylor almost giggled on the way to the stage, so relieved about the newly gained safety.

Travis still accompanied his girlfriend until she really had to go on stage. "Have fun, okay? I'll pick you up right here later", he told her before giving her one last quick peck on the lips. "I will! I love you", she smiled and before he could answer, she left to enter the stage. He quickly made his way to the tent to watch her show. The stalker finally forgotten, he just gazed at her lovingly. It was as if he could see how relieved she was and how much she could put into this performance instead of putting it into fear. He was glad that they could enjoy the last few days together before he had to leave for training camp.
