Lin Ran ignored the people in the room, gripping the door handle, ready to rush out, but Mo Shuyu grabbed her wrist.

Lin Ran frowned slightly, looking at Mo Shuyu, who pulled a pair of medical gloves from her coat pocket.

Lin Ran immediately understood, extending her left hand. Mo Shuyu took out the rubber gloves and helped Lin Ran put on the left glove.

Lin Ran switched the Tang sword to her left hand and then extended her right hand, and Mo Shuyu helped her put on the right glove.

Lin Ran readied the Tang sword in her right hand, turned the door handle with her left, and rushed into the corridor. Two zombies sensed her presence and charged at her.

Lin Ran leaped forward, kicking the first zombie to the ground. At the same time, another zombie in a hospital gown lunged at her.

Lin Ran swiftly dodged and, in a fluid motion, raised her sword high and slashed at the zombie's neck.

After one chop, the zombie's neck tilted to one side. Lin Ran didn't give it a chance, quickly delivering a second chop to its neck, causing it to collapse to the ground.

Turning around, Lin Ran saw the first zombie she had kicked down was just getting up. She charged at it again, kicked it down, and stomped on its chest. With a firm grip on her Tang sword, she slashed twice at the zombie's neck until it stopped moving.

Lin Ran lifted her foot off the zombie, feeling her body had become lighter, her reactions faster, and her strength slightly increased. If it weren't for her injured palms, she believed she could have decapitated the zombie with one swing.

Lin Ran gestured to Mo Shuyu to follow her quickly. Mo Shuyu hurried to Lin Ran's side.

Lin Ran whispered, "Where's the fire escape? We'll take the stairs down."

Mo Shuyu knew the hospital layout far better than she did, so Lin Ran asked her.

"Go through the wards on this side, turn left, and there's a door leading to the fire escape," Mo Shuyu said as she thought.

Lin Ran nodded, "Alright, we need to get out of here quickly. Lead the way."

"Okay," Mo Shuyu nodded and quickly led the way.

The two walked down the corridor. At the end, they turned left, but the corridor also had zombies wandering around.

Lin Ran took advantage of the zombies' slow reaction and quickly swing her Tang sword towards them. As the female zombie tried to move, she swiftly retracted her sword and kicked the zombie to the ground.

Just then, a male zombie with a gaping mouth charged at Lin Ran. Its skull was damaged, with black-purple flesh inside, emitting a strong stench.

Lin Ran's Tang sword moved like the wind, almost instantly reaching the zombie's neck. With both hands, she slashed forcefully, causing black-purple blood to splatter all over her and the white hospital walls.

After retracting her sword, Lin Ran kicked again, turning nimbly and thrusting the Tang sword into the neck of the female zombie that was getting up. She slashed with force, and the zombie collapsed to the ground.

At that moment, the male zombie with a half-severed neck stood up and charged at Mo Shuyu.

Mo Shuyu gripped her machete tightly, ready to strike as the zombie approached.
