Lin Ran hadn't had time to check her phone. After washing her hands at home, she felt guilty for making Mo Shuyu cry. She didn't have many friends before and didn't know how to comfort others.

Lin Ran pulled off the hair tie holding her hair, letting her slightly curly hair fall down. She scratched the back of her neck and headed towards the door. Since she had made Mo Shuyu cry, she felt she should apologize, especially since she might need Mo Shuyu's help with drawing cards in the future. With this thought, Lin Ran left her house and knocked on Mo Shuyu's security door.

Soon, someone came to open the door. Seeing it was Mo Shuyu, Lin Ran was about to speak, but Mo Shuyu had already turned around and walked back into the house, returning to her room from the living room.

Lin Ran didn't get a chance to say a word. Instead, Ruan Ruan came running to her familiarly. Lin Ran picked her up in her arms. The child squinted her eyes in joy.

Lin Ran gently asked with a smile, "Have you been a good girl, Ruan Ruan?"

"Yes, I missed you, Auntie," the child snuggled up to Lin Ran.

Seeing the cute Ruan Ruan, Lin Ran's eyes curved with a smile, but remembering Mo Shuyu, she quickly said, "I'll go find your mom first, and then I'll come back to play with you, okay?"

Ruan Ruan nodded sensibly, "Okay~"

"Good girl." Lin Ran pinched the child's small hand and put her down.

Cheng Yanhong saw Lin Ran and quickly asked, "Lin Ran, what happened outside just now? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Everything is resolved. No need to worry." Lin Ran pointed to the room Mo Shuyu had just entered, "Auntie, I have something to discuss with Dr. Mo."

"Oh, then go ahead. Ruan Ruan is with me. You go find her." Cheng Yanhong smiled at Lin Ran, picked up the little one, and went to the opposite room to play with the kitten.

Lin Ran stood outside Mo Shuyu's room, feeling a bit at a loss. What should she say once she went in? She anxiously scratched her hair; comforting someone was much harder than fighting zombies.

Taking a few deep breaths as if making a firm decision, Lin Ran finally knocked on the door. After a few seconds, a voice came from inside, "I didn't lock the door. Come in."

After speaking, Mo Shuyu opened the door and returned to her room. She was folding the child's clothes, her back to Lin Ran, without saying anything.

Lin Ran pursed her lips and moved to the other side to see Mo Shuyu's expression, but Mo Shuyu's face was expressionless and didn't look at Lin Ran.

Lin Ran quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry. I just didn't want you to worry. Please don't be mad, okay? I know I was wrong."

Mo Shuyu had actually already calmed down but wanted to see what Lin Ran would say.

Hearing Lin Ran apologize so obediently, Mo Shuyu tightly pressed her lips together, suppressing the urge to smile.

She deliberately didn't look at Lin Ran and continued folding the child's clothes, asking softly, "What did you do wrong?"

Lin Ran cautiously observed Mo Shuyu's face, nervously wringing her hands behind her back, "I was too reckless and didn't consider my own safety. I'll be more careful in the future. Please don't be mad."

As she spoke, Lin Ran moved closer to Mo Shuyu.

Mo Shuyu ignored Lin Ran and continued folding clothes, seemingly casually saying, "I'm not anyone to you, and your business is not mine to interfere with. I had no right to be mad."
