Lin Ran stood on the rooftop and looked down to see the alley below packed with zombies, jostling each other like headless flies, filling the entire alley.

"Let's go across the rooftops," Lin Ran said and started walking. She quickly reached the end of the building. Fortunately, the buildings were close together, and she stepped directly onto the next rooftop.

Mo Shuyu followed closely behind Lin Ran. They moved across several residential buildings, but as they neared the main road to the south, the gap between two adjacent buildings was about one meter.

Lin Ran looked at Mo Shuyu, "We'll have to jump across here."

"Yeah, it doesn't look far. Should be fine," Mo Shuyu said confidently, thanks to the enhancement potion she had taken.

"Good, just go for it in one go. Don't be nervous," Lin Ran said as she jumped across with ease, barely needing a running start.

Mo Shuyu didn't dare to jump as casually as Lin Ran. She stepped back a few paces, took a running start, and jumped across successfully.

Lin Ran and Mo Shuyu reached the south side of the building near the main road. There were fewer zombies here, and they were still moving around. However, it still wasn't the right time to go down. The gunfire and explosions from the middle school indicated that the military was taking this opportunity to eliminate as many zombies as possible. Going down now risked being mistaken for zombies and getting shot.

"We'll have to wait a bit longer until there are fewer zombies on this road. Then we can figure out how to get across," Lin Ran said.

Lin Ran and Mo Shuyu sat on the rooftop. Lin Ran took out a bottle of water and handed one to Mo Shuyu before opening one for herself.

It had been quite a thrilling escape earlier, thanks to the mechanical arm on the motorcycle. Without it, she and Mo Shuyu would have been in serious danger.

Lin Ran checked her phone. It was already 2:30 PM. She planned to go down around 3:00 PM to see if they could find another entrance to the shelter. The main gate was too crowded with zombies, and she feared being caught in the crossfire.

As time passed, Mo Shuyu stood beside Lin Ran, looking down. The road below was a three-way intersection, allowing zombies to disperse quickly. In half an hour, the number of zombies on the road had significantly decreased.

Lin Ran summoned her flashy purple motorcycle again. She stepped onto it and said to Mo Shuyu, "Get on. Let's find another entrance to the shelter."

"Okay." Mo Shuyu climbed onto the motorcycle with Lin Ran's help and held on tightly.

Lin Ran controlled the mechanical arm, which gripped the second-floor wall tightly. The motorcycle was lifted and turned in place, descending steadily until its wheels touched the ground. The mechanical arm then released the wall.

Lin Ran started the engine and revved it loudly. The purple motorcycle roared to life and shot out, skirting the perimeter of the school in search of a breakthrough. Fortunately, there were fewer zombies on the back side of the school, and they found a small gate.

Lin Ran's motorcycle was conspicuous enough, and using the mechanical arm now would draw unnecessary attention. She retracted the mechanical arm and relied on the motorcycle's speed and agility, racing toward the small gate.

A few soldiers by the gate noticed Lin Ran and Mo Shuyu approaching.

The squad leader used binoculars to get a better look. He saw Lin Ran plowing through zombies on the motorcycle.
