After finishing breakfast, Lin Ran and the group packed their things to leave. They loaded everything into the vehicle. Cheng Yanhong took charge of driving, with Wei Qingshuo holding the little girl in the backseat while Ding Tong caught up on sleep, having taken the late-night watch shift.

Lin Ran and Mo Shuyu led the way on motorcycles. Fortunately, there were more of them now, and satellite positioning would locate six people, making them safer than when there were only two. Lin Ran drove quickly, and whenever they encountered a roadblock, they would stop and use the mechanical arm to move the vehicles.

After an hour and a half, they finally reached Duzhou City. However, Lin Ran didn't plan to stop. They continued toward Haixing City. Around noon, they pulled over to the side of the road for a brief rest and ate some biscuits and chocolate bars to replenish their energy before quickly getting back on the road to Haixing City.

It wasn't until after 5 p.m. that Lin Ran finally saw the highway entrance to Haixing City. As it was getting dark, Lin Ran chose not to exit the highway but continued driving toward Jiangnan City. After driving for another two hours, around 7 p.m., they found another service area on the highway, where Lin Ran finally stopped the vehicle.

She got off the motorcycle and stretched her body. The intense riding had made her feel uncomfortable. However, there were many zombies in the service area, indicating that no one had cleared them out yet.

"Wait here for a bit. I'll clear out the zombies," Lin Ran said as she picked up her Tang sword and rushed into the service area. She moved so fast that she became a blur, and the zombies had almost no chance to fight back. In no time, Lin Ran cleared nearly a hundred zombies in the parking lot.

Then she rushed into the two-story building within the service area. There weren't many people inside, and Lin Ran noticed that there were plenty of supplies, which indicated the place hadn't been looted yet.

Not only did she deal with all the zombies on the first floor, but she also thoughtfully used the motorcycle's mechanical arm to pile the zombie corpses in a corner so as not to scare Ruan Ruan. Lin Ran then headed to the second floor and cleared out the zombies there as well, finishing the whole process in just over twenty minutes.

By the time Lin Ran went out to call Mo Shuyu and the others to come in, it was already dark, but they had flashlights and emergency lights, so they weren't too worried.

As soon as Ding Tong entered, she noticed the supplies on that floor. "All the supplies are still here! Let's stock up on anything we need."

"Alright, we'll take a good inventory before we leave tomorrow morning and stock up," Lin Ran said as she started preparing dinner. After a long day on the road, everyone was exhausted, so Lin Ran decided to cook some instant noodles. Though not the healthiest option, it would fill them up.

The noodles were ready in no time, and after eating, everyone planned to get some early rest. After traveling so far, Lin Ran figured the military wouldn't catch up anytime soon. Besides, each city's shelter operated independently, and the Jiangliao City shelter was in a hurry because their commander had gone missing.

That night, Lin Ran took the first watch. She let Mo Shuyu sleep early and sat alone, keeping watch over everyone. The dim emergency lights cast a faint glow in the empty first floor.

Around 1 a.m., Mo Shuyu woke up to relieve Lin Ran, urging her to get some rest so she wouldn't be too tired for the next day's journey.

The night passed peacefully. Breakfast was rice porridge again, which Cheng Yanhong had started cooking early. After eating a bowl, Lin Ran began inventorying the remaining supplies with Ding Tong.
