Lin Ran's upper body was soaked in sweat. With a thought, she summoned a drenched female ghost beside her. The ghost's tattered clothes turned red, and blood streamed from her eyes.

Li Xuan's hair extended rapidly, splitting into three strands to strangle the three dogs. Her hair seemed to possess a mysterious power, immobilizing the dogs.

Lin Ran seized the opportunity to catch her breath. She rushed to Mo Shuyu and slashed at the struggling mutated dog, decapitating it with one blow.

In the cramped space under the desk, Lin Ran maneuvered, slicing at the half-exposed dog head. The dog's brains splattered as it was killed.

Lin Ran pulled Mo Shuyu out from under the desk. Meanwhile, Li Xuan kept the three large dogs under control, her nails extending and dripping blood.

Li Xuan's razor-sharp nails sliced into the dogs' flesh effortlessly. Lin Ran could see fear in the mutated dogs' eyes.

Wasting no time, Lin Ran struck at the remaining dog, using all her strength to chop at its neck. The first strike only cut halfway, reaching the spine. She quickly withdrew the blade and struck again, finally killing the dog.

On the other side, Li Xuan's hair constricted the other two dogs. Her nails swiftly decapitated them.

Once the two dogs were lifeless, Li Xuan's hair retracted, and her nails shrank back. She stood beside Lin Ran, her face hidden by her long hair, wearing a blood-soaked red dress, looking as docile as a child.

"That was close. Let's go while Xuan Xuan still has time," Lin Ran urged, pulling Mo Shuyu downstairs. If not for Li Xuan, they would have died.

Li Xuan could only be summoned once a day for three minutes. With half the time gone, Lin Ran and Mo Shuyu had to hurry so Li Xuan could hold off the dogs downstairs.

They ran quickly, reaching the ground floor in just half a minute. Lin Ran had already deployed her purple motorcycle. As they got on, the fifty-odd small mutated dogs in the yard charged at them, creating a terrifying, dense mass.

At that moment, Li Xuan's long hair floated up again, wrapping around the necks of the small mutated dogs rushing towards them. With a swift pull, the heads of the small mutated dogs were severed.

Her hair split into numerous strands, continually tightening around the approaching mutated dogs. Her nails suddenly grew five or six decimeters long, the blood-soaked nails cutting through the dogs' necks like sharp blades.

However, a few dogs managed to escape. Five or six small mutated dogs charged at Lin Ran and Mo Shuyu. By then, Lin Ran was already driving the motorcycle towards the police station gate. The gate was still closed, but Lin Ran used the mechanical arm on the motorcycle to grip the gate's wall tightly, lifting the motorcycle over the gate. She then retracted the mechanical arm and sped towards home.

Moments later, Li Xuan's figure slowly dissipated in the police station yard, leaving only a pile of mutated dog corpses behind.

Several mutated dogs were still chasing their motorcycle. Lin Ran used the rear mechanical arm to throw the six small mutated dogs off.

Mo Shuyu finally breathed a sigh of relief, collapsing weakly against Lin Ran's back. This time was truly close; these mutated dogs were far more terrifying than zombies.

Lin Ran also felt a lingering fear. Without Li Xuan, they would have been finished. It seemed upgrading her abilities through card draws was essential.

On the way back, Lin Ran continually used the mechanical arm to fend off surrounding zombies. After half an hour, they finally returned to Guanghua Community.
