Mo Shuyu immediately got interested in the message, which read: "Attention all residents of Jiangbei City: All survivors should transfer to Jiangbei City Third Middle School. We have set it up as a temporary shelter guarded by the military, relatively safe. Please make your way there!"
The message kept scrolling on her phone, with some survivors discussing it below.
"Finally! There's a place to go. But the Third Middle School is in the city center, and my home is near the outskirts. How do I get there?"
"Yeah, there are zombies everywhere outside. Can the military come pick us up?"
"I'm starving, help me."
Many people were posting comments below, and Mo Shuyu was looking for any official replies.
When Lin Ran came out, she saw Mo Shuyu engrossed in her phone. Trying to break the awkwardness, she asked, "What are you looking at? So serious?"
"It's an official announcement. Look, they set up a shelter at the Third Middle School and are asking everyone to move there." Mo Shuyu handed her phone to Lin Ran.
Lin Ran leaned against the bed, took the phone, and saw it was indeed an official post.
"Should we go? Is the shelter safe?" Mo Shuyu was still worried. With the chaos outside and many cities overrun by zombies, could the military really control the situation?
Lin Ran looked at Mo Shuyu and said, "We shouldn't go for now. We have water, electricity, and plenty of supplies here. It's probably more comfortable than the shelter. Plus, we don't know the exact situation there. It's better not to rush."
Mo Shuyu nodded in agreement, "You're right. It's relatively safe here, so let's wait and see."
"Yeah," Lin Ran nodded. She lay down, took out her phone, and started browsing the news.
Mo Shuyu noticed there was only one summer quilt on the bed and asked, "Where's my quilt?"
"Oh, over there." Lin Ran remembered that Mo Shuyu's quilt always ended up on the floor every morning, so she hadn't bothered to bring it over.
Mo Shuyu gave Lin Ran a puzzled look, got out of bed to fetch her quilt, and lay back down, covering herself.
Lin Ran put her phone away and turned off the light in the room.
Lin Ran slept peacefully that night, feeling something in her arms. She had grown used to Mo Shuyu snuggling up to her, so she didn't open her eyes and just wrapped an arm around Mo Shuyu's waist, continuing to sleep.
T/N: At this pace they will never go official due to Lin Ran being as dense as a rock -_-
Lin Ran woke up early in the morning, finding Mo Shuyu nestled in her arms, sharing the same summer quilt. She chuckled, knowing Mo Shuyu's quilt was unnecessary.
Lin Ran's gaze fell on Mo Shuyu's face, noticing her eyelashes fluttering like little brushes with each breath. It was quite cute.
Seeing Mo Shuyu sleeping soundly, Lin Ran didn't want to wake her. She held Mo Shuyu with one arm and picked up her phone with the other, browsing through the news.
She saw more replies under yesterday's announcement, mostly people asking for help, as the outside world was full of zombies and ordinary people had no way to protect themselves.
The group chat for Building 9 was also discussing this.
Wu Qi 1104: "Did you see the government announcement? They set up a shelter at the Third Middle School and are asking everyone to move there."
