90: Parallels From The Past

Normal P.O.V

It wasn't a very pleasant day for Team Erza. Natsu, Gray, Gems and Happy went on an all boys mission, but they hadn't returned yet and it had been nearly four days while the mission would've just taken them a few hours.

The girls were worried sick, thinking they might be in trouble and decided to go search for them.

Their mission was set in the middle of a forest in the south of Fiore, and it was to get rid of a monster destroying the forest. The girls were already there and were examining the defeated monster.

“You g-guys...” They all turned around when they heard Gems's voice. They all gasped upon looking at him, as he looked like a total mess, he was using a stick for support while walking towards them and had Happy in his arms, who was unconscious. “Help...” Gems mumbled before he fell to the ground and passed out.

“Gems!?” Lucy gasped as she ran towards him.

They noticed neither Gems nor Happy had any injuries, they just looked exhausted. Wendy immediately healed them and after a while they both gained their consciousness back.

“Gems? Happy? Are you okay? What happened?” Laki asked as Lucy helped them with water.

“Where are Natsu and Gray?” Erza asked.

“It's bad... Natsu and Gray...” Gems mumbled as Lucy helped him get up.

“They've been fighting for three days...” Happy said and the girls face palmed.

“They would ask me to heal them and then restart...” Gems said.

“And we didn't have much food to restore our energies.” Happy informed.

Gems and Happy took the girls to where Gray and Natsu were fighting. They were brawling worse than a cobra and a mangoose would brawl. They all just sighed. When Erza tried to stop them, they accidentally hit her and immediately realized what they did, but it was too late and Erza beat them both of them and dragged them back.

The whole way back, Gray and Natsu complained about the pain. Eventually, Gems and Wendy used their healing magic and healed their injuries.

They both became a joke when the guild got to know about why it took them so long to get back. Gems just sighed and rubbed his head as he saw Gray and Natsu quarrel again.

But luck wasn't on their side as they received an emergency job flier, which specifically asked for Natsu and Gray. When they refused to go together, Makarov denied them and asked Erza and her team to go as well.

It was a job request from Warrod Sequen, the fourth-highest ranked of the ten wizard saints and he was one of the four emperors of Ishgar. Makarov told them to strictly conduct themselves properly.

Gems and Lucy looked at each other and made a face, since they both had decided to go shopping but that plan was now cancelled.

The train ride was quiet and peaceful with Natsu passed out and Gems making Gray watch out of the window. But once they were on the road again, walking towards Warrod's house, they started arguing again.

“This is fun! It feels like a family picnic!” Happy said.

“Yes, if it weren't for them.” Gems said as he rolled his eyes.

“I hope Gems eats you!” Natsu insulted Gray.

“I hope Gems farts on your face!” Gray insulted back.

“Why do I feel like I am the one getting insulted here?” Gems asked being confused and the girls just sweatdropped. Erza shouted at them and told them to behave as they were nearing their destination.
