After whatever happened, Gems and Gray got even more closer after the incident.

A side of Gray was seen by Gems which he adored dearly. Gems was getting spoiled with the princess treatment that Gray was giving him. Gray was at utmost care with Gems.

Gray would do training with Gems but also didn't let Gems go overboard, would help Gems with his household chores, and took turns to train with the kids of the village until those kids demanded to train solely with Gems.
