a/n: sorry guys I've been in vacation and couldn't update but I'll try to be more consistent!!
a few weeks later: It had been sometime of Pedro and I trying things out again. However we decided it was best to keep it a secret for now, until we were sure of it. We tried to make the best of the time we had together. Mostly during Mateo's naps, or when we'd hang out at Pedro's house. The truth is things were going really well. I missed this, I missed us.
Today Mateo and I were going to Camp Nou for the last match of the season at home. It was a bit upsetting for Mateo knowing the season was ending. But like I explained to him, it meant we had more time to spent together as a family.
After breakfast I got Mateo dressed so we could go for a walk. Eric and Olivia decided to join us so we waited for them to get dressed.
Once we were all ready we walked out the door and out of the driveway. It was a beautiful sunny day out, and I couldn't wait for tonight's match.
"So how is coparenting with Pedro?" Oliva asks me as she walks beside me. Eric listens as he pays close attention to Mateo. "It's going really well. I think we're in a good place now" I smile "I'm glad, a few months ago I couldn't have imagined it" Olivia replies. I nod. "The good thing is you're working it out for Mateo" Eric adds. "We are, and I mean we've forgiven each other" I say Eric raises his eyebrow and Olivia nudges me as I laugh.
I wanted to tell them about us working things out, but I couldn't. I promised Pedro that I wouldn't tell anyone. Not until we were sure of it.

We got back home and Eric and Tania headed out to get some things ready for their wedding. It was coming up pretty quick, in just a few months. I sat with Mateo in the living room while he played with his toys. My phone began to vibrate and so I walked over to pick it up.

I smile as I put my phone down. Mateo and I hadn't seen Pedro in 2 days. He was busy with meetings that he had to go away for. Which meant I was missing him a little extra today. But luckily we'd be spending the night together. And after this we had the entire summer to plan out together.

It was later in the day, time to get ready for the match. I got Mateo dressed in his Barcelona jersey and some jeans. I then borrowed one of Eric's jerseys to go with my outfit. He and Tania weren't back yet, and planned to meet us at the stadium.
I got my purse and we took an Uber toward the stadium. Mateo was beyond excited to see Pedro, he kept rushing us. We checked in through the vip entrance and made our way to the club seats that Pedro got us for tonight. I'm still so surprised at how long we've gone without people finding out he has a son. Even his own family. Although I'm sure his parents will be finding out soon.
It was still early, so I grabbed some food for Mateo as his dinner in the meantime. He sat at the table inside the room and began to eat as he faced the field. I stood behind him as I was about to pull my phone out. Suddenly I felt someone's arms wrap around my waist. I smiled as I immediately was able to recognize who it was by their scent. I turned around to face Pedro who greeted me with his sweet smile.
"Te extrañé tanto guapa" "Yo más" I smirked and stood on my tiptoes to place a kiss on his lips. He smiled and rubbed my cheek. He pulled me into a tight hug before letting go.
"Mateo look who's here" I say. Mateo turns around quickly and his eyes light up when he notices.
"Papi! Papi!" He cheers as he quickly rushes over. He jumps into Pedro's arms who lifts him up. "I've missed you so much my sweet boy" Pedro says as he kisses his cheek. "I missed you too papi. Why didn't you come back sooner?" Mateo pouts as he looks at him. "I'm sorry Teo, but at least we're together now" he replies. Mateo nods.
They catch up on the past two days as Mateo finishes having his dinner. Once it's time for Pedro to head out Mateo walks out to his seat after wishing him luck. Since he's faced away from us I pull Pedro into another hug. I place another soft kiss on his lips and smile.
"Good luck Pedro, you'll do great" I say. "Gracias Nani, I'm glad you're both here. My lucky charms" he winks and kisses me again. I let go as he begins to walk away.
I walk out to the deck and take my seat beside Mateo. Tania and Eric aren't here yet so we're the only ones here.
All i can think about is how this will one day be our normal. How we won't have to hide. I hope that day comes soon.
