husband! Colin x wife! Y/n

🥁

"We can't tell Mommy, okay?" You hear your husband come into the house through the garage door, holding your precious 1 year old son: your baby.

"Like we seriously can't, she can't know I'm conditioning you." You roll your eyes at Colin's choice of words, he has no idea you're hiding out behind the hallway wall, and he doesn't know you were already dropped off by your girlfriend from your guys' girls date.

Colin gently puts your son down onto the living room carpet, as soon as he sees Colin walks by to the kitchen to grab something he was crawling over to him and fast. He loves his Dada and hates being by himself.

"I was coming back," Colin states, with an adorable giggle, walking back again to the living room. Sweet Mason crawls behind Colin like a little adorable puppy, he's been taking wobbly steps if you hold his hands and you just know he can be taking those first steps any day now.

Scooping Mason up into his arms, Colin walks over to you and you quickly get the idea to scare him, like he's constantly doing to you. "Okay?" Your husband whispers to the cute baby, "just between you and me, bud. A secret between the boys."

"BOO!" Jumping out at Colin, you don't even think he might drop the baby, or that Mason would get startled too—and you feel so sad you didn't think of that before. Thankfully, Colin doesn't drop him, if anything he hugs Mason closer to his body protecting him from whatever jumped out. In this case it was you, Mommy.

Mason starts pouting out his bottom lip all the way out, taking steady breaths as his eyes filled with tears, "You see?" Colin shakes his head, disappointed. You can't stop laughing because he just looked so funny with that scared look on his face, "you weren't supposed to be home."

"Aw, bubba, it's okay! It's just me, Mommy!" You try to soothe your son, Mason looks wearily between you and Colin, visibly upset.

"It's okay," just as you try to grab your son, Colin turns away, not letting you get him and kisses Mason's temple as he tried to self regulate but fails, wailing out he was so startled. Now you just feel shitty and can't even find pleasure in successfully scarring Colin because you successfully scared your innocent baby. "She will do that a lot."

Standing behind Colin's shoulder, you rub your hand over Mason's head, he cradles his head on Dada's shoulder, softly whimpering now and calming down as he realized that your presence was greater than whatever he was feeling because it meant he could get milkies. Or also known as your breasts. Mason opens and closes his hand, signing to you that he wanted some right now.

And to make him feel better, you'd say yes to anything he says, even though he only says a couple words, "Oh come here, my angel, Mommy is sorry and Mommy will give you milky." Colin finally lets you carry him and you push him up in your arms, making him giggle as he slobbered over his index finger in his mouth. You and Colin made a really cute baby last year during spring break. You guys went away for a nice break, in a tropical setting. St Barths...and it was perfect.

Colin's sunkissed skin, the way he was 10x sweeter with you, not like he normally isn't, but something about him on that trip had your heart almost bursting out of your chest. You couldn't get your hands off of him, and Colin wouldn't let you leave the resort room. Now this spring break, you have an adorable mini version of your husband to hang out with. And Colin already wants to try for another baby, for a baby girl.

"What were you mustering up with my son? I heard you trying to corrupt him, telling him to not tell me. Colin, that is not being a good daddy." You tighten your brows, following Colin in order to keep talking to him because, ugh, he always walks away and you have to keep up with his long strides.
