Elizabeth, Ominis, Sebastian, and Anne headed to the Three Broomsticks for lunch on her first day back. Ominis asked if Elizabeth knew of any curse-breakers, per Ian's suggestion (however rude it was). During lunch, Anne noted the scar from Ominis' Unbreakable Vow, and he refused to talk about it, ultimately leaving. For Valentine's day, Elizabeth and Ominis went out for dinner in a muggle town, then headed to an overlook to see the Hogwarts castle where they finally had their first kiss.Elizabeth
The Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff match took place about a week and a half after Valentine's day, and in that time, Ominis and Elizabeth got better at stealing time together - slipping off to the Room of Requirement or the Undercroft. Even if just to work on homework together while sitting improperly close as Sebastian put it. While she couldn't speak for Ominis, Elizabeth felt much more comfortable now that they'd found their feet, so to speak. Even today - they, along with Sebastian and Grace, had headed out to the stands relatively early and commandeered seats at the very top and back of the bleachers, and so Elizabeth could be safely nestled against Ominis' shoulder, enjoying his warmth as people filed into the lower seats, paying them little mind.
It was snowing heavily and had been since that morning. It was the big, fluffy sort of flakes that dulled the roar of the crowd around them. Elizabeth thought it was beautiful, but it did make it difficult to see the pitch, and it had quickly soaked her hair. She was looking out across the Forbidden Forest when Sebastian spoke.
"Will you look at that, here comes Anne and Larson."
Ominis gave a little sigh that Elizabeth didn't quite understand, but she sat up as they approached. Anne didn't appear to be wearing a cloak, only sporting a knitted shawl that Elizabeth had seen on her multiple times. Her dragon sculpture - Elnora, Anne had named it - perched on her shoulder.
"Aren't you cold?" Elizabeth called to Anne.
"Not at all," Anne said with a laugh as they neared. "This is the one Sebastian put the warming charm on - works better than you'd think. Besides, I have this too!"
She produced a small jar of bluebell flames that Elizabeth recognized as Ominis' christmas gift to her. Elnora promptly pounced onto the lid, eyes fixed on the flame. Anne laughed again as she settled in the seat in front of Sebastian.
"Andrew, you look a tad cold - your cheeks are a bit flushed," Grace said, leaning around Sebastian to speak.
"Oh no, he's perfectly warm," Anne said, turning to smirk at Andrew.
"Yes, I am," Andrew said, sounding irritated. "Mostly because someone put a salamander down the back of my robes. That would be why we're late."
"Well, that's what you get for studying first thing in the morning on a Saturday," Sebastian said with a snort.
"See, exactly my point," Anne said.
Ominis stifled a laugh. Elizabeth noticed he hadn't greeted Andrew. She frowned, but didn't ask.
"You can barely see them down there," Andrew said with a sigh, settling into the seat in front of Ominis. "But Merlin I'm hoping Gryffindor wins - problem is, Cooper's got a great team, and if we want a chance at the Cup..."
"Oh?" Anne asked. "What are the scores at?"
"Ah, you used to play, didn't you?" Andrew said, looking thoughtful. "I forgot about that... Well, Slytherin is in first so far - 390 points. Hufflepuff is in second with 200 points - Cooper's got a good team this year. We're in second to last." Andrew grimaced. "We've got 110 points. But Gryffindor is in last and they've been a disaster this year. They're only at thirty points."
