@ainul117386 here's your request. Hope you like it. It's been so long since I made a The Boyz story so thank you.
It's a short chapter
700 words.

The practice room was filled with the echo of the same beat, again and again. Chanhee stood near the mirror, towel draped around his neck, chest rising and falling unevenly. The others moved like shadows—sharp, controlled, mesmerizing. The way their bodies obeyed every beat made it all look easy.

For everyone but him.

He watched Sunwoo, a natural performer even when he was out of breath, dance through the chorus with a kind of precision and flair Chanhee felt he could never match. And that's when the thought crept in—again.

What am I doing here?

When the staff first told them he'd be doing a duo dance with Sunwoo for "Kingdom Come," Chanhee had smiled and nodded, but something inside had sunk. Everyone knew he wasn't a dancer. His strength was his voice, his expressions—his emotion. But now, the spotlight was being shared, and he was terrified he'd ruin it.

That night, long after practice ended and the others had left or showered, Chanhee stayed behind. Alone in the mirrored room, he replayed the choreo over and over, stumbling at the same parts. He slammed the stop button on the speaker.

Pathetic. His fists clenched at his sides.

"Chanhee?"

He flinched. It was Q, silhouetted by the doorway, holding a bottle of water in each hand.

"I thought you left," Chanhee muttered, voice dry.

"I was going to," Q said, walking in. "But I saw the lights still on and figured you'd be here."

Q handed him a water. Chanhee took it, but didn't drink.

"I can't get it," he confessed quietly. "I keep slowing Sunwoo down."

Q looked at him, expression unreadable.

"Do you really think Sunwoo would agree to dance with someone who slows him down?"

Chanhee opened his mouth, then shut it. He hadn't thought of it that way.

"Sunwoo chose this. We all did. And we all trust you," Q added gently. "But you have to trust yourself, too."

Chanhee swallowed hard. "That's the problem. I don't."

Q stepped forward, taking the speaker remote. "Then let's work on it together."

The next day, Chanhee was surprised when the practice schedule was shuffled. Juyeon showed up first thing in the morning.

"I'm your partner today," he said cheerfully.

Chanhee blinked. "Why?"

"Because I want to help. You know, figure out what part's tripping you up. Don't worry—I've got nothing else planned until lunch."

By the time Eric joined him later that afternoon, Chanhee was drenched in sweat, but something was different. He wasn't avoiding the mirror anymore.

"You're starting to feel it, huh?" Eric grinned, tossing him a fresh towel. "Sunwoo told me you were doubting yourself. That's nonsense. You've got something that none of us have."

Chanhee raised an eyebrow, unconvinced.

"You're the soul," Eric said simply. "You might not be the flashiest dancer, but you make people feel the performance. And this song.. it needs that."

Chanhee didn't know what to say. He was used to being told he was pretty, elegant, expressive. But right now, those weren't just compliments. They were tools.

By the time Sunwoo arrived, Chanhee was going through the choreo again. This time, he didn't flinch at the duos. When Sunwoo placed his hand on his shoulder, guiding him into the next transition, it felt natural.

They ended the run side by side, breathing heavily, sweat dripping—but both smiling.

"That was it," Sunwoo said. "That's what I saw in my head when we planned this."

"You sure?" Chanhee asked, voice small.

Sunwoo nodded. "You bring the pain in the song to life. I can't do that without you."

The night of the performance, as they waited backstage, Chanhee felt the nerves creeping in again. His hands shook slightly.

Then a quiet voice cut through.

"Chanhee."

Q stood beside him, reaching out a fist. Chanhee bumped it without thinking.

"You're not dancing alone," Q said.

Juyeon appeared next, then Eric. Sunwoo finally joined, eyes steady.

"Let's go show them what 'The Boyz' means," Sunwoo said.

Chanhee stepped out onto the stage.

For the first time, he didn't feel like a burden. He felt like part of something greater.

He felt like he really belong in The Boyz.
