A Day For Hugs

The sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow through the windows of Ant and Dec's shared workspace. They had been working hard all day, but Ant seemed a bit different-more affectionate, more in need of closeness than usual. He pulled Dec into a tight hug, holding him a little longer than normal, and Dec couldn't help but notice.

"Everything okay, mate?" Dec asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

Ant smiled softly, his eyes twinkling, but he deflected the question with gentle kisses to Dec's temples, cheek, and neck, whispering, "Just needed this."

Dec felt a flutter in his chest at the unexpected tenderness. They had shared many hugs over the years, but this felt different, more intense. As they finished up their work and decided to head to Dec's home, Ant's affection only increased. He pulled Dec into hugs at every opportunity, resting his chin on Dec's shoulder, as if seeking comfort and reassurance. "Dec," Ant said softly, pulling him close again. "I want you to know how much I love you. I wouldn't change our friendship for anything in the world." He looked deeply into Dec's eyes, his expression earnest. "You're always there for me, with that incredible sense of humour that never fails to make me laugh. You have the biggest heart, always looking out for others, and I admire your strength more than you know."

Dec's eyes glistened with un-shed tears as Ant continued, his words wrapping around him like a warm embrace. "You inspire me every day. The way you care for others, your kindness-it makes this world a better place. And your loyalty... you're my best mate, Dec. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Tears pricked at the corners of Dec's eyes as he felt the weight of Ant's heartfelt words. "Ant," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. "I love you too. You mean everything to me. I've always looked up to you, and knowing that I can be there for you means the world. You bring so much joy into my life."
