Dec was stretched out on the bed, propped against the soft pillows with a book in hand. The room was quiet except for the occasional rustle of pages as he turned them, the golden glow of the bedside lamp casting a warm light over the scene. His shoulders relaxed into the mattress, content in the calm of the evening.
The door creaked open, and Dec looked up to see Stephen standing there, a shy smile playing on his lips. His youngest boyfriend hesitated for only a moment before stepping inside, his eyes soft and pleading in a way that made Dec's heart melt.
"Need something, love?" Dec asked, already knowing the answer.
Stephen nodded. "Just... you," he murmured, his voice a little smaller than usual.
Dec smiled and immediately opened his arms, his book slipping to one side. "Come here, baby boy. You know I always want a cuddle,"
Stephen didn't need to be told twice. He padded over and climbed onto the bed, curling into Dec's chest like it was the safest place in the world. Dec wrapped his arms around him, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of his head. Stephen let out a soft sigh, already relaxing into the embrace.
"Comfy?" Dec asked, adjusting slightly so he could hold Stephen close while picking his book back up.
Stephen mumbled something that sounded like "perfect," his words muffled against Dec's chest. Dec chuckled softly, resting the book on Stephen's back as he continued reading, occasionally rubbing soothing circles over his youngest boyfriend's back.
About half an hour later, the sound of the front door closing signalled Ant's return. Dec heard him before he saw him, exaggerated footsteps stomping down the hallway. The door swung open dramatically, revealing Ant holding a shopping bag and wearing a mock expression of betrayal.
"Well, look at this," Ant announced, his voice full of theatrical woe. "Here I am, out braving the cold and harsh world, and my loving boyfriends don't even save a single cuddle for me. I'm so unloved. I might as well just leave."
Dec didn't even look up from his book, rolling his eyes as he reached out a hand in Ant's direction. "Oh, come off it, drama queen, it's the middle of summer for one and for two you chose to go shopping. Come here if you want a cuddle."
Ant huffed, maintaining his pout for a few more seconds. "I don't know... seems like you're all full up on cuddles over there."
"Ant," Dec said, his voice patient but firm, "get over here."
Grinning now, Ant tossed the bag to the floor and climbed onto the bed, settling down on Dec's other side. He nestled his head on Dec's shoulder, wrapping an arm around both him and Stephen. Leaning over, Ant pressed a kiss to the top of Stephen's head, making the younger man stir slightly and smile in his half-asleep state.
"Mm, you're back," Stephen murmured, his voice soft and drowsy.
"I am," Ant replied, his voice warm. "Missed you both too much to stay away."
The three of them lay there, tangled together in a warm, comfortable heap. Dec set his book aside, turning his attention to the lazy conversation that began to flow between them-small, sweet remarks about their day, gentle teasing, and soft declarations of love.
Stephen drifted off to sleep soon after, his soft breathing filling the room. Ant and Dec shared a smile over his head, their hands finding each other's as they relaxed into the moment, feeling the peace and love that only they could create together.
