Ant and Dec were deeply immersed in their script revisions, faces set in the kind of intense concentration that came only when a big live show was around the corner. Highlighter marks, scribbled notes, and crossed-out jokes littered the pages as they muttered ideas to each other.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and in strolled Stephen, arms laden with snacks, sandwiches, bottled water, and a couple of bags of crisps balanced on top. "Alright, fellas," he announced with a grin, setting everything down on the table in front of them, "I know for a fact you skipped lunch, so here's your meal delivery."

Ant looked up, mock horror spreading across his face. "Oh no," he said, dramatically clutching his chest, "our mother has arrived to tell us off for our sins!"

Dec laughed, raising an eyebrow at Stephen. "Are you auditioning for a job as our babysitter, Stephen?"

Stephen just rolled his eyes and started unpacking the snacks, handing each of them a sandwich with an expectant look. "Eat up, or I'll start feeding you myself. And trust me, you don't want to see what I'm like when I go full 'mother hen.'"

Ant took a bite of his sandwich, making a big show of chewing dramatically. "There, happy now? Satisfied, mum?"

Stephen smirked. "Only if you finish the whole thing, Anthony."

Dec, meanwhile, snickered and leaned back in his chair, taking a bite and glancing up at Stephen, his mouth full of sandwich. "What's got you all warm and cuddly today, mate? You're practically glowing."

Stephen shrugged, giving Dec a small, playful wink as he took his place between them on the couch. He pulled Dec closer with one arm and gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek, then turned to Ant and did the same, brushing his lips to Ant's forehead before settling back with a satisfied grin.

"Alright, now what was that all about?" Ant asked, chuckling as he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were trying to butter us up for something."

"Nothing wrong with showing a bit of affection to my two best mates, is there?" Stephen replied, completely unfazed. He leaned in, giving each of them a light shoulder squeeze. "I'm just making sure you're both taking care of yourselves. You mean the world to me, you know."

Dec nudged him with his elbow, eyes softening at Stephen's words. "Well, we appreciate it, but seriously, what's got you playing nurse today? You alright, Stevie?"

"Perfectly fine," Stephen said, smiling as he gently patted Dec's cheek. "But I know what you're like-you both get in work mode, and next thing I know, you're running on fumes. So if you two won't look after each other, I'll just have to step up and do it myself."

Ant laughed, half-amused, half-touched. "Oh, so now you're our mother and our keeper? Well, don't go thinking you can boss us around forever," he teased, though his eyes shone with appreciation. "But... thanks, Stephen. You're a good lad."

Dec grinned, nudging Stephen playfully. "Who knew our Stevie had such a caring side? You keep this up, mate, and we might start depending on you for cuddles and tea breaks."

Stephen chuckled, leaning his head against Dec's shoulder and patting Ant's back. "You're already dependent. I'm just here to make sure you don't go completely off the rails."

Dec, never one to miss a chance to poke fun, gently pinched Stephen's cheek. "Aw, our very own Mother Hen. I didn't know we were signing up for Saturday Night Takeaway and a daycare service."

With a grin, Stephen settled back, wrapping his arms around both of them and pulling them closer, ignoring their playful protests. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, you two. But I know you secretly love the attention."

Ant and Dec exchanged a glance, their laughter dying down as the sincerity in Stephen's gestures sank in. Dec placed his hand on Stephen's arm, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Honestly, mate, we do appreciate it. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in all this, it's nice to know someone's got our backs."

"Absolutely," Ant added, his voice warm. "Means a lot, actually. We're lucky to have you around, Stephen."

Stephen beamed, ruffling their hair affectionately. "Yeah, well, that's what I'm here for-keeping you two in line, even if it means I have to get all mushy." He gave them both a little shake, laughing as Ant and Dec rolled their eyes but didn't pull away from his arms.

Ant glanced over, mock-serious. "Well, as long as you know we don't plan on letting you go, Mr. Mother Hen."

"Noted," Stephen replied with a grin, pressing one more quick kiss to each of their foreheads. "Now, finish your snacks, and let me know if you need anything else. I'm not going anywhere."

With Stephen cuddled between them and a table of snacks within reach, the three friends settled in comfortably, savouring the warmth of the moment and the quiet reassurance of having each other.
