It was a quiet evening at Ant's flat, the sort of night that lent itself to a cosy, easygoing vibe. The trio had spent the afternoon working on their latest project, but the stress of the day had worn on Stephen. He felt that familiar yearning for comfort-something soft, warm, and familiar. Without a second thought, he made his way over to the sofa, where Ant was lazily sprawled out, scrolling through his phone.
"Ant," Stephen murmured, leaning down slightly, his voice quiet but with a hint of need in it. "Can I have a cuddle?"
Ant looked up from his phone, instantly melting at the sight of Stephen's soft, almost childlike expression. It wasn't the first time Stephen had asked for a cuddle, but it was always something that Ant enjoyed. The tenderness of the moment made his heart swell.
"Of course, baby boy," Ant said, opening his arms with a warm smile.
Stephen quickly snuggled into Ant's chest, feeling the weight of his comfort and affection. The familiar scent of Ant's cologne mixed with the warmth of his embrace made everything feel right in the world. Stephen sighed happily as Ant stroked his hair gently.
"You're so precious," Ant murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of Stephen's head.
Just as the moment settled into a perfect peace, the sound of the door opening broke the stillness. Dec walked in, holding two large boxes of pizza, his dramatic flair already in full swing.
"Well, well, well..." he began, drawing the words out as he set the pizza down on the counter. "My boyfriends don't love me. My boyfriends never want to cuddle with me. I'm always forgotten about and cast aside in the cold."
Stephen and Ant exchanged an amused glance, unable to suppress their smiles.
"Oh, really now?" Ant replied with mock concern, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Poor, neglected Declan. Whatever will we do?"
"Come here, my darling," Stephen teased, tugging at the sleeve of Dec's jacket, "You can join us."
Dec exaggerated a dramatic sigh, walking over to the sofa with a mock sulk. "I'll just have to settle for your crumbs," he said, making a show of plopping down next to them, but not quite close enough. "I'll just sit here in the cold, all alone..."
"You're such a drama queen, it's the middle of summer," Ant laughed, shaking his head.
"Well, my boyfriends never want me close. They're always too busy with each other," Dec continued, now crossing his arms over his chest and pouting in the most over-the-top manner.
"Oh, come on then," Stephen chuckled, pulling him into the cuddle. "If you're gonna sulk, you may as well do it properly."
Dec gasped in a mock offence. "Oh, you mean you do care?" He dramatically flung his arms around Stephen and Ant. "You love me after all?"
"I think we do," Ant teased, wrapping an arm around Dec as he settled into the cuddle, bringing the trio together. "Now, no more dramatics, just some pizza and cuddles."
Stephen snuggled in even closer to Ant, his arms wrapped around him while Dec melted into the embrace, his head resting on Stephen's shoulder. The three of them huddled together, basking in the warmth of each other's company.
"There we go," Stephen said softly, pressing a kiss to Ant's cheek. "Perfect."
Ant smiled, kissing the top of Stephen's head once more before turning to Dec. "Happy now, darling?"
Dec raised an eyebrow, still playing the part. "I suppose I can forgive you... for now. But only because I'm in the best company of Stephen."
"Only now?" Stephen said with a playful grin. "You're lucky we love you so much."
Dec, feigning outrage, placed a hand over his heart. "Ah, yes, I know. My poor neglected self, getting all the love I deserve."
The three of them laughed, completely content in the bubble of their own affection and warmth. It was moments like this that made everything feel right. The pizza, the cuddles, the teasing-it was all a perfect reminder of how deeply they cared for each other.
