On a sunny autumn afternoon, Ant, Dec, and Stephen took a break from their busy filming schedule to enjoy some downtime together in Ant's cosy living room. Sunlight streamed in through the large windows, casting warm golden rays over them as they lounged on the couch. Ant and Dec sat on either side of Stephen, who stretched his legs across both of them, all three of them comfortably bundled in sweaters and relaxed from the week's work.
"Mate, this was a great idea," Dec said, gently nudging Stephen's shoulder. "Feels like ages since we've all just sat down together without any scripts or cameras around."
Stephen grinned, glancing from Dec to Ant. "You two have been running around like madmen lately. Figured you deserved a break."
Ant chuckled, giving Stephen's leg a playful pat. "And here I thought you needed the break, mate. Always looking after us, aren't you?"
Stephen shrugged, smiling softly. "What are friends for?"
There was a moment of silence, a comfortable kind, as they all basked in the quiet together. After a while, Stephen noticed the slightly tired look in Dec's eyes and the way Ant had been fidgeting a little more than usual. They'd been working so hard lately, trying to keep the team together through every hectic shoot and always pushing themselves for perfection.
Stephen turned, giving each of them a gentle squeeze on the shoulder. "You know, I don't say this enough, but...you two are incredible. You put so much heart and soul into everything you do, and everyone can see it. I see it."
Dec glanced at him, his expression softening. "Thank you, mate. It means a lot, hearing that from you."
"Yeah, it does," Ant agreed, his voice warm. "I'm not sure you know how much you mean to us."
Stephen chuckled, playfully rolling his eyes. "Please. I'm lucky just to be here with you two."
"Not even close!" Dec shook his head with a fond smile. "You're family, Stephen. More than you know."
Ant leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Stephen's temple. "Don't ever think we take you for granted, okay? I don't know what we'd do without you."
Touched, Stephen leaned into them both, resting his head on Dec's shoulder and reaching out to take Ant's hand. He stayed there, feeling safe and at home in the quiet warmth of their friendship.
Later, as the afternoon turned into evening, the three of them decided to have a little movie marathon. They ordered their favourite takeout, grabbed blankets, and cuddled up close. Every now and then, Stephen would reach over and give Ant or Dec's hand a squeeze, whispering little reminders of how much he cared for them, how proud he was of all they did.
By the time the evening was over, they'd all had a chance to recharge, their spirits lighter, their hearts full. And as they drifted off on the couch, wrapped in each other's arms, Stephen closed his eyes with a smile, knowing just how much he was loved and cherished by the two people who mattered most to him in the world.
