Ant and Dec were winding down after a busy filming week. Ant, always looking out for Dec, had brought over a basket of healthy snacks and water bottles, determined to make sure they both got enough nutrients. Dec chuckled when he spotted Ant's little stockpile.
"Ant, you're worse than my mum!" he teased, grinning as Ant fussed over him, handing him a snack bar with a playful, "Come on, munchkin, you've got to keep up your strength!"
Dec rolled his eyes but accepted it, knowing that Ant would only keep pestering him if he didn't. "Alright, alright, love-bug," he relented, chuckling as he unwrapped the snack. "But only if you have one, too. Can't have you slacking off on your nutrients either."
They settled into a comfortable rhythm, reminding each other to take sips of water, squeezing each other's shoulders, and sharing quick cheek kisses. Ant gently brushed a stray crumb off Dec's chin, saying softly, "There's my good boy," earning him a light-hearted nudge and a bashful smile from Dec.
Stephen eventually strolled in, catching them in the middle of one of these affectionate exchanges. He stood there, arms crossed, and smirked. "You two are like an old married couple, you know that?"
Ant and Dec shared a quick look, then grinned mischievously. "Well, well, Stevie boy," Dec said, sidling up to him, "maybe we should make sure you're getting enough snacks and water too."
"Oh, absolutely," Ant agreed, already grabbing a snack bar and a bottle of water. "We can't have our little Stevie missing out, can we?"
Stephen tried to laugh it off, but they were on him in a flash, gently patting his back as they handed him the snack bar and made a big fuss. Dec gave him an affectionate little cheek kiss, and Ant gave him a squeeze on the shoulder. "There we go, little bro," Dec teased. "Nothing but the best for you."
"Oh, fine, fine," Stephen laughed, his cheeks a bit pink. "But you two have to know, this is exactly why I love you both... like annoying, overprotective older brothers."
Ant and Dec beamed, pulling him into a cosy group hug, each ruffling his hair as they chuckled. "Right back at ya, mate. You're stuck with us," Ant said, grinning.
As they sat back, munching on snacks and sharing sips from each other's water bottles, the three of them exchanged affectionate looks, the warmth of their friendship filling the room.
