As the summer sun slowly dipped lower in the sky, Ant and Dec stayed sprawled on the picnic blanket, their limbs lazily stretched out as they enjoyed the lingering warmth of the day. Dec plucked a strawberry from the basket, offering it to Ant with a soft smile.

"Open wide," he teased, holding it just out of reach.

Ant rolled his eyes but leaned forward, biting into the strawberry. "You're gonna feed me now, are ya?" he asked, smirking as he chewed.

"Maybe. Depends if you're behaving," Dec shot back with a cheeky grin, nudging him playfully with his shoulder. But then he leaned his head on Ant's shoulder, sighing softly. "I love days like this. Just... us."

Ant softened, looking out over the park. "Me too, Dec. Feels like... I dunno, like we're the only two people in the world. Don't need anything more than this."

They lapsed into comfortable silence, watching the children playing nearby, couples walking hand in hand. Dec felt Ant's hand rest on his, giving a gentle squeeze. Without thinking, Dec shifted closer, lifting his head just slightly to give Ant a quick kiss on the cheek.

Ant's face flushed slightly, but he grinned, giving Dec's hand a playful squeeze in return. "You're getting all soft on me, mate," he teased, although the fondness in his eyes gave him away.

"Always have been, ya know that," Dec replied, shrugging as if it was the most natural thing in the world. He shifted so he could look at Ant, his eyes warm. "I don't say it enough, but I'm glad I have you. For all the daft stuff we do, for everything else... it's just good to have you."

Ant's expression softened even more, his thumb tracing gentle circles on Dec's hand. "Same goes for me. Don't think I'd be half as happy without ya around. We've got somethin' special, you and me."

As autumn turned to winter, the seasons couldn't touch their closeness. The nights became colder, but the warmth they shared filled every space. One especially frosty evening, they arrived at Ant's flat after a long filming day, shaking off the cold and laughing as they stumbled inside.

Ant immediately took Dec's coat, hanging it up by the door, then draped a warm blanket around his shoulders. "Get comfy, I'll get the fire going," he said, with a small pat on Dec's back.

Dec's face lit up as he slipped out of his shoes and made himself at home by the fire, watching the flames come to life. When Ant returned, Dec shifted slightly, patting the space right beside him. "Come here, cuddle up, it's freezing," he urged, tugging the blanket so there was room for Ant.

Ant chuckled, settling beside him and pulling the blanket over both of them. Dec instantly leaned into him, their heads resting together as they watched the flames dance. After a few minutes of contented silence, Dec murmured, "Remember when we'd do this on tour? Sneak back to the hotel room, order up loads of food, and talk till we fell asleep."

Ant grinned, giving Dec's hand a gentle squeeze under the blanket. "Those were the best nights. Just us, a heap of snacks, and laughing 'til the sun came up." He shifted to press a soft kiss to Dec's forehead. "Wouldn't change a thing."

Dec smiled, resting his head against Ant's shoulder. "Me either. I mean, we could be anywhere, doin' anything, and as long as you're there... I feel like I'm home."

They sat like that, nestled together, content with the crackling fire and each other's warmth. Ant reached over, tucking a stray lock of Dec's hair back. "Y'know," he said quietly, "I'm so glad I've got you. Just... in every way that matters."

Dec's eyes softened as he looked up, a touch of emotion in his voice. "Same, mate. Don't think anyone could ever understand us like we do. And... I wouldn't trade it for the world."

Without a word, Ant wrapped his arm around Dec, holding him close. The night stretched on, and they simply stayed there, sharing unspoken words, gentle touches, and the warmth of a friendship so strong it felt more like family.
