Stephen took a deep breath as he stood in the hallway outside Ant and Dec's office. In his hand, he clutched his notebook, filled with ideas he'd been working on for In For A Penny. He was excited, but as he reached the door, a wave of uncertainty washed over him. What if they're too busy? he thought. What if they don't have time for this today?

The doubts swirled in his mind, and he began to second-guess himself. Maybe he should just email the ideas and avoid interrupting them. He turned to leave, but his hand knocked against the door almost on its own.

The door swung open to reveal Ant, who looked at Stephen with a mix of surprise and concern. "Hey, mate," he said gently. Stephen, lost in thought, barely noticed, his gaze fixed on the floor.

Ant placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, softly calling his name. Stephen blinked and looked up, suddenly realising where he was. Behind Ant, Dec was watching him intently, concern etched on both their faces.

"Stephen, are you alright?" Dec asked softly.

"Oh, yeah, yeah," Stephen mumbled, trying to brush off their concern with a quick smile. "I just... I had some ideas for In For A Penny, but it's fine, I'll just-"

Ant and Dec didn't let him finish. Ant reached over, gently taking the notebook from his hands and setting it down on the desk. Then, with no hesitation, they both pulled Stephen into a warm embrace.

"Hey, you don't have to worry about that right now," Ant said softly. "We love you, Stephen. You mean the world to us, alright?"

Dec squeezed his shoulder, nodding in agreement. "We'd never be too busy for you, mate. Not ever."

Stephen felt himself relax in their arms, the weight of his worries lifting. They led him to the sofa in the corner of their office, where they settled in together, Ant and Dec each wrapping an arm around him. For over an hour, they held him close, giving him gentle kisses on his cheeks and forehead, reassuring him with soft words and affection until he felt his worries melt away completely.

Eventually, Ant gave him a little nudge. "So, what were you coming up here for, anyway?"

Stephen chuckled, his earlier anxiety almost forgotten. "Oh, right. I had a few ideas for some new skits we could try on In For A Penny." He began explaining his concepts, excitement building in his voice as he shared his vision.

Ant and Dec listened eagerly, occasionally chiming in with suggestions of their own, working with him to refine a couple of the ideas into potential scripts. They laughed together, their usual energy returning as they bounced ideas off one another, imagining how the audience might react.

When they decided to take a break, Dec suggested ordering takeaway, and the three of them settled back on the sofa, their food spread out on the coffee table. As they chatted and ate, Dec leaned in, wrapping an arm around Stephen's shoulders again. "Don't ever feel like you can't come to us, okay? We both love having you around, Stephen. We always want you to feel welcome here."

Stephen smiled, feeling a warmth he hadn't felt in a long time. "Thanks, Dec. That means... more than you know."

As they finished their meal, Stephen suggested watching a movie together to wrap up the afternoon. Ant jumped up, grabbing a laptop and setting it up in front of them. They huddled close, the three of them nestled comfortably on the sofa. Every now and then, Ant and Dec would press soft kisses to Stephen's cheeks, and he'd smile, feeling completely at ease and loved.

By the end of the evening, Stephen was entirely content, safe in the knowledge that no matter what, he had two friends who truly cared for him.
