It was a quiet evening in Ant's living room, the warm glow of the fireplace casting a cosy light over the room. Ant and Dec had just finished a long day of filming, and now they were settled on the couch, Xbox controllers in hand, ready to face off in a friendly but competitive game of FIFA. The air was thick with the tension of a lighthearted rivalry.
"You're going down, mate," Dec teased, grinning at Ant as he selected his team.
"We'll see about that," Ant smirked, his eyes narrowing in mock determination. "You ready to lose?"
As the game began, their virtual teams took to the pitch, and the match was off to an intense start. Ant, ever the strategist, expertly passed the ball and manoeuvred his players around Dec's defences. But Dec wasn't backing down. He played with a passion, his thumb flicking across the controller with expert precision.
"Ha!" Dec cheered as he scored a goal, watching the digital ball fly into the net. "One up, Ant. You can't catch me now!"
Ant huffed, ready for his comeback. "I'll get you," he muttered, but as he concentrated on the game, Dec saw his opportunity.
Without warning, Dec leaned over, wrapping his arms around Ant from behind in a bear hug. Ant let out a surprised laugh, trying to wriggle free while still holding onto his controller.
"Oi! What are you doing?" Ant chuckled, wiggling his arms but trying not to drop his controller.
"I'm just making sure you're comfortable while you lose!" Dec said playfully, his voice full of mischief. He kissed Ant's neck, deliberately planting a soft, teasing peck just below his ear.
Ant immediately froze, a surprised chuckle escaping him. "That's cheating!"
Dec smirked. "Is it? Well, maybe you just need some extra distraction to make up for your lack of skills."
Despite himself, Ant's face flushed as he tried to keep his focus on the game. But Dec wasn't done. In the next moment, he shifted slightly, his lips pressing against Ant's cheek in a quick, playful kiss.
"Come on, focus, Ant. You're losing," Dec teased with a grin, his breath warm against Ant's skin.
Ant's concentration faltered as he fumbled with the controller, the ball being swiftly stolen by Dec's team. "I'm not losing because of that!" he protested, trying to keep his cool.
But Dec, seeing his advantage, didn't stop there. He kissed Ant's neck again, his lips brushing the sensitive spot just behind his ear. "Maybe a few more distractions will help you out, mate," Dec whispered, his lips teasingly close to Ant's skin.
Ant let out an exasperated laugh, but his fingers slipped on the controller as he tried to shake Dec off. "Dec, you are so going to pay for this."
"I'm just helping you relax," Dec said innocently, though his smirk betrayed him. "You need to let go of all that tension."
Suddenly, Ant's character made a mistake, losing the ball to Dec's striker. Before Ant could react, Dec scored again, his team celebrating wildly on the screen.
"Two goals to me," Dec crowed triumphantly, still hugging Ant from behind, keeping his lips near Ant's ear. "Getting distracted, are we?"
Ant groaned, his face bright red now from the combination of the game's pressure and Dec's relentless teasing. He tried to shake Dec off, but it was no use. Dec was determined to win - and to make sure Ant had a hard time keeping his focus.
"No way," Ant finally growled, grinning despite himself. "You're not winning this so easily."
He quickly turned, twisting in Dec's arms to face him. "If I'm going down, I'm going down fighting," Ant said, now fully immersed in the game again.
But Dec, still holding onto him, smirked and pressed his lips to Ant's cheek once more, making his friend flinch. The effect was immediate; Ant's thumb slipped on the controller as Dec's striker dashed past him, effortlessly scoring a third goal.
"Three to zero," Dec declared, his voice triumphant.
Ant, now thoroughly embarrassed but still determined, retaliated by leaning in and kissing Dec's neck - a playful, unexpected move that made Dec freeze for just a second.
"Game on, Dec," Ant said with a grin, ready to fight back in every way possible.
The playful battle continued, each of them trying to distract the other with hugs, kisses, and teasing banter. The room was filled with laughter and light-hearted complaints, the game an excuse for the two of them to get closer, to mess with each other, and to enjoy each other's company.
In the end, though, Dec won the game, a victorious smirk on his face as he leaned back, holding his controller up in triumph. "I told you, mate, I'm just better at this."
Ant, still flustered, couldn't help but smile. "You might have won, but don't think this is over. Rematch next time."
Dec chuckled, pulling Ant close and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. "I'll be ready," he said, his tone affectionate, the competition forgotten in the warmth of their friendship.
And just like that, the game was over, but their playful rivalry would always continue, each moment bringing them closer, no matter how embarrassing the distractions got.
