The first rays of dawn seeped through the curtains as Ant stirred, his hand instinctively reaching out to where Dec and Stephen usually slept beside him. Instead of the comforting warmth of his boyfriends, his hand landed on a cold, empty sheet.
Opening his eyes fully, he looked over and saw them-Dec and Stephen curled up together on the other side of the bed, their faces peaceful and close, arms intertwined. Ant blinked, then narrowed his eyes. Traitors!
An idea sparked in his mind, and a mischievous grin played on his lips. He sat up, stretching dramatically, letting out an exaggerated sigh.
"So this is how it is," he muttered, loud enough to wake them. "Forgotten. Unloved. Cast aside like yesterday's leftovers."
Dec stirred first, his groggy eyes blinking open as he focused on Ant. "Huh?" he mumbled sleepily.
"Oh, don't 'huh' me, Declan!" Ant continued, clutching his chest as if mortally wounded. "I see how it is. No one ever wants me around. Might as well... sleep in the spare bedroom."
Stephen opened one eye, his brow furrowing in confusion before catching on to Ant's theatrics.
"I mean, why bother sharing a bed with my boyfriends when clearly, they're happier without me?" Ant sniffed, grabbing his pillow with a flourish and dramatically swinging his legs off the bed. "Don't mind me; I'll just go suffer in lonely exile."
He stood, clutching the pillow to his chest as if it were his only solace in the cruel, cruel world. His shoulders shook slightly, and then he burst out laughing, unable to keep up the act.
Dec and Stephen both dissolved into laughter too, Stephen reaching out to grab Ant's wrist. "Get back here, you absolute drama queen."
Ant smirked, dropping the pillow back onto the bed and crawling between them. "You're lucky you're cute, or I'd have taken this act all the way to the spare room," he teased, settling himself into the middle of their embrace.
Dec chuckled, leaning in to kiss Ant softly on the cheek. "You're ridiculous."
Stephen kissed Ant's forehead. "But we love you for it."
As Ant nestled closer, he felt Dec's arms wrap securely around his waist while Stephen's hand traced soothing circles on his back. They kissed him tenderly-one on his jaw, the other on his temple-and he sighed contentedly.
"Fine," Ant murmured, his voice muffled against Stephen's chest. "I suppose I'll forgive you... this time."
The three of them chuckled softly, the laughter fading into a comfortable silence as they drifted off again, wrapped up in each other.
