Chapter 36: Baby Shower

BRANDON'S POV

"Alex, you don't want to be late to your own party, do you?"

"It's not my party." She aruged jokingly, coming out all ready.

"Then it's Camryn's party." I smirked, placing my hand on her belly. She playfully glared up at me and kissed my lips. "Oh, and you look stunning." I smiled, admiring her curls.

"Thank you." She giggled, reaching down and grabbing my hand. Blade and Gabe had already made their way over to my parent's house to help set up, so it was just the two of us in the car. We walked up to the door, hand in hand, and I knocked. My mom opened it and smiled, hugging the both of us.

"Hi Brandon!"

"Mom, you just saw us last week." I laughed, letting go of Alex and hugging back.

"Oh I know." She said, letting go of me. "And Alex! You look so great!" My mom exclaimed.

"Thanks Harley." She giggled, slipping a curl behind her ear.

"Come in, come in. We're still waiting for everyone." She said, guiding us to the living room. I walked in with Alex and it was just my sisters sitting with their boyfriends. The whole place was pink. Pink balloons, pink streamers, pink plates, pink cups, pink everything.

"Alex, come see the cake!" My mom exclaimed, dragging her away from me. My dad walked over to me and handed me a beer.

"You're going to need this." He chuckled, taking a sip of his own.

"Thanks, I'm already getting overwhelmed from all this pink." I chuckled and he nodded.

"I had to help put up all the streamers cause I'm tall." He said in a mocking tone of voice and laughed.

"It's a gift and curse." I said and he agreed.

"Brandon! Come look at this cake." I sighed and took one more drink.

"I'll be back." I said, walking into the kitchen.

"Isn't it amazing!" She squealed. I looked down at the pink and white cake. It's A Girl! was sprawled across the cake with a pair of pink baby shoes.

"Yeah, it's awesome." I said, hanging my beer bottle by my side.

"And, it's chocolate." She smiled and I just kissed her cheek.

"Great." I said, wrapping my arm around her waist.

"I'll get it." My dad announced as there was a knock on the door. Alex and I walked out of the kitchen to see Jake and Ella walking in.

"Daddy!" Alex squealed and he smiled, walking over to her.

"Hey baby girl." Jake said, kissing the top of her head and hugging her. Jake greeted and hugged me and then Ella came over and did the same. Soon, everybody was here and we were all standing around talking. I was on my fifth beer when we passed out cake and I had to go with Alex to announce the name.

"I want to thank you all for coming and, we're mainly up here right now to announce the name of our daughter." She said, placing a hand on her belly. All of the girls got on the edge of their seats, waiting for the oh so magical name. "Brandon, why don't you say it since you did come up with it." I nodded and searched for my sober voice.

"Camryn Jenna Biersack." I said with a smug smile. The girls, mostly the moms, squealed, saying they loved it. The girls swept Alex away and the guys just kind of spread around the living room.

"I was right, you did get my badass name gene." I smiled and blushed, continuing to drink my beer.

"I guess." I shrugged. We all talked a bit more until the girls came in for presents. Alex and I sat by the presents and I watched her open them, thanking everybody. At the end, we got bunches of clothes and shoes, a car seat, boxes of diapers, pacifiers, toys, stuffed animals and bottles. Of course, we got loads of cards and large amounts of money and gift cards. The guys helped me load everything into the car. The guys followed us home and helped me carry the stuff up to our apartment. We dumped everything into the nursery and they all left. I stripped to my boxers and climbed into bed with Alex, wrapping my arms around her waist.

The next day, we went shopping for a crib and such. My dad, Jake, Gabe and Ethan came over to help set up the nursery, just how Alex wanted it. We were now physically ready for Camryn, now to get ready emotionally.
