You swallowed the lump in your throat as your crush stood before you with his hand out for you to take. Looking up into his mismatched eyes, you gently placed your hand in his and allowed him to pull you out of your chair. He smiled softly at you as he led you to the dance floor. His hand took its place at your waist and held your hand while your free hand rested on his shoulder. Your eyes never left his as you started to move to the music. Getting lost in his eyes, you relaxed in his presence and under his gaze. "Thank you." You whispered to him. He nodded. "I couldn't let a pretty girl like you just sit there all alone during a song like this." He replied. You blushed. "Thank you I guess." You said. You wanted to tear your eyes away from him so bad but you could. Your eyes were glued to the mismatched eyes of David jones, or as the world knew him David Bowie. He recorded at the studio you worked for a lot. That's why you both were at the Valentine's Day dance they were holding. "Your welcome. Besides, seeing you walk in here alone on Valentine's Day reminded me I'm not the only single person here. Well I still I am i guess." He said, twirling you around. "What do you mean?" You asked him. "I'm the only one here no one would ever want to be Valentines with. You on the other hand could have any guy here if you wanted." David said with a small blush. You blushed as well and shook your head. "Contrary to popular belief no one here would ever want to be my valentine." You whisper, finally tearing your eyes away from him. "Then allow me the honor." David said causing you to look up at him again. "Be my valentine (y/n)?" You smiled and nodded. David smiled back and slowly leaned in. His lips met yours in a sweet embrace and you were glad there were dozens of couples on the dance floor doing the same that night.
