*bit different in David's pov*

I sat in the chair they told me to and played with my pant leg. These stupid interviews always made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't see the point in them. People came and went, fussing about me as I paid them no mind.

"Mr. Bowie, we will be on in five minutes." Someone said and I nodded. I waited for the person to show up and start this stupid thing. I went back to staring at my pant leg. My head snapped up when I heard the sound of heels clicking on the tile floor. A beautiful young woman was walking towards me, wringing her hands as she got nearer and nearer. My heart pounded in my chest as I watched her staring at the floor in front of her as she mumbled her questions. I was stunned by her. She was gorgeous. She finally looked up as she reached the little carpeted area where we were having the interview.

"Hello mr. Bowie." She whispered, holding out her hand to me. I stood up and took her hand in mine. A small smile made its way onto my face as I bowed and gently kissed her knuckles.

"Hello. Call me David. And what might be your name?" I asked, hoping she didn't notice how my hand was shaking in hers.

"(Y/l/n). (Y/n) (y/l/n)." She replied just as shyly as she had when she said hello. My nerves felt like they were on the breaking point. Her name echoed around my head.

"Pleasure to meet you Mrs. (Y/l/n)." I said, hoping I was wrong and shed correct me.

"Oh no, it's miss." She corrected me and I blushed in spite of myself.

"I'm sorry. Miss (y/l/n)." I said and gazed into her eyes.

"(Y/n) please." She said, her voice getting stronger the more we talked. I smiled at her and nodded. We sat down and the interview started. As we finished I found I needed to see her again. My heart was aching at the thought that I would never see her again. Once the cameras were off and everyone started to leave, I decided to make my move.

"(Y/n)?" I asked as she started to get up to leave. I stood up quickly and shifted my weight from foot to foot.

"Yes David?" She asked. My heart fluttered when she said my name and I had to take a deep breath to clear my head.

"I was wondering if you would want to grab a drink with me later." I said. I held my breath as i waited for her answer.

"I'm sorry David. I don't drink." She said with a sad smile. She started to walk away and I took a step forward after her. Never before I had I felt the need to chase a woman. But she was different.

"Then how about a coffee?" I tried again. She turned back to me with a curious look on her face.

"David are you asking me out?" She asked quietly. I blushed and nodded. I bit my lip as she made up her mind. "When?" She finally asked.

"How about right now?" I asked in a rush. She blushed and nodded.

"Sure. Let me get my coat and we'll go." She said and grabbed her coat. I took it from her and held it as she slipped her arms through the sleeves. She smiled at me and I offered her my arm which she took and we walked out of the room together with a smile on my face and a beautiful girl on my arm.
