Luke was in the Kitchen cooking bacon when cat stumbled down the stairs in her pyjamas. He looked at her over his shoulder and smirked. "Nice hair, tumbleweed."
Cat growled and dragged her fingers through her hair, tearing at the knots. She pulled out a chair and collapsed onto it, folding her arms on the kitchen counter and laying her head on them. Luke laughed and placed a plate of bacon in front of her. "Here, have some fuel."
Cat half-dazedly chomped on a slice, crunching loudly. She spoke through a mouthful of breakfast. "So, wheres Moira?"
Luke sat down next to her, with his own breakfast plate. "One, talking with your mouth full is gross, and two, where do you think? She left last night with Lindsay, and I got a text saying she stayed over."
Cat took another bite, grinning. She swallowed. "And Pete? Usually he's up by now. Usually he's spread paint everywhere, or pinched something or making a loud racket by now."
"Actually..." said Luke "that's a good point. Ehh, he's probably just worn out from staying up late, pretending to be some hobbity-smurf with a bad Scottish accent and stealing my wallet, your phone, my car keys..."
"Car keys?"
"Yeah, found them missing this morning. I'll check his room later."

An hour later, Cat had changed, managed to tame her mane and was marching up the stairs to check Pete. He still hadn't come down. She wondered if her was sick. It would be her luck to have him be ill when the parents were away.
"Pete, are you awake? Pete, its time to get up. Pete. Petey. Peter Andrew Taylor, don't make me come in there!"
She opened the door and looked around the room.

"LUKE!"

Cat ran downstairs. "Luke, he's not in his room!"
Luke shrugged."He's probably in the garden."
"He's not! I can see the entire length of the garden out the window! Luuuuuke! Believe me! Have you seen him at all this morning!"
Lukes face changed, becoming worried. "Well... no..."
They both looked at each other, worried expressions on their faces. Then they turned and raced up the stairs to Petes room.
