"Cat, is this true? Did you really know him before?" Asked Moira in a shocked voice.
"Yes, but... You're still all my best friends. He's just... I met him once in my childhood, before I met you guys. I was young, emotionally traumatized because of the... The fire. He was in my room and I just saw him and talked to him. But you guys are my friends, heck, you're my family. It's you guys I'm with until the end." Said Cat, pouring all her passion and honesty into the words.
"I believe you." Valerian spoke up. "So what if they met once. I poisoned Cat, and you all forgave me."
"Yeah, so what if Cat knew about him from before. It could actually be a good thing. She has an idea of how he thinks, giving us an advantage." Added Lindsay.
Julian's face contorted with rage again. "Well isn't this sweet. You're all so close and loving and forgiving." He said, mockingly. "So no one's giving up then? In that case, don't blame me for what happens next. Oh, and Cat? Our little agreement is still going, so any time it gets too much..."

Cat lunged at him, trying to punch him in the nose, only to be restrained by Lindsay. "He's not worth it, Cat."

Julian grinned again, bending his face close to Cat's. "Yeah, cause then I'll hate you, and you don't want that."
Cat growled. Trust him to use her own words against her.
Julian straightened up. "Well then, this has been fun, but I think it's time you left."
Suddenly, a group of armed guards, their armor decorated like playing cards entered the clearing.
They surrounded the group, pushing them to the ground and binding their hands as they struggled and fought, before leading them away.
Julian watched them go, a flash of worry breaking through his cool demeanor as he saw Cat's face.
It wasn't his fault, he told himself. She chose how she wanted to play.
