The Jabberwocky roared and stumbled out of the cave, swinging its head left and right in an attempt to dislodge the annoying little flea known as Cat.
Cat was clinging on for dear life, seriously reconsidering how good her plan was.Well, that's what you get for making it up on the fly.
Meanwhile, Lindsay, Moira and Valerian were attempting to escape in the confusion.
They'd actually managed to knock out one of the guards, with a mix of Valerian's Faery magic and Lindsay's designer boot.
Currently they were racing across the grass towards the pavilion in a fashion reminiscent of a three legged race since they were still partly tied up, whilst the other two guards chased them. It was surprising how fast the girls were moving. They reached the pavilion, clutching at the abandoned throne for support whilst pulling off the last of the ropes.
Talitha and the others had all raced out of the pavilion to face the Jabberwocky, leaving two pages to guard the tent.
Blaze and Luke.Moira ran to her brother. Swiftly, she wrenched the sword from his side. His eyes cleared and he collapsed into her arms, tugging his mask off. "You came. Thank you."
Valerian ran up to Blaze. "Blaze, come on, let's go!"
Blaze looked at her, confusion written on his face. "Do I know you?" He asked.
"Yes, yes you do! It's me, Valerian!"
Blaze looked at her intensely for a minute. Then he drew his sword. "You are an enemy of my lady, Talitha."
"No! Well, yes, but it's not like that! She's evil and she's using you!"
He swung his sword down at the crying Valerian. THUD!
He feel unconscious.
Lindsay stood over him. She'd knocked him out with the handle of Luke's sword."I'm sorry Valerian, but he was going to kill you. Now, we need to go, I get the feeling Cat's gonna need a weapon."
Moira snorted. "Did you not see? She has a jabberwocky. No weapons needed."
