They were back in the library once again.
"Well, that was an adventure." Gasped Lindsay, out of breath.
Luke and Moira made noises of agreement.
"So... what now?" Asked Luke, scratching his head.
"Up the stairs, then... I think we've won." Cat said, squinting up at the next landing.
"Yeah, we'll get Petey and go, then spend the rest of our lives forgetting this night." Lindsay added.
"What, you don't think Cat should get a story? That's not fair now, is it?"
Julian stepped out of the shadows.
Cat seriously felt like breaking his perfect nose.
She wasn't the only one. Luke lunged at him, swinging at his face. Julian grabbed his arm mid hit, twisting it to pin it behind Luke's back.
Cat could see the pain in his face as the Shadowman used his inhuman strength, making his bones audibly creak.
"You know, I really don't like you." Hissed Julian into the ear of the struggling boy. "There's no way someone like you can even begin to be good enough for her. She's practically your sister, you have no right to think of her that way. She's mine, got it?"
SLAP!
Cat had hit him across his face, causing him to drop Luke in shock.

Julian stared at her, wide eyed. Tentatively, he prodded the red mark on his cheek. "You hit me. You actually hit me."
Cat was quaking with fear and adrenaline, preparing for him to do something, but surprisingly, he didn't sound angry. Just shocked that she'd been capable of such a thing.

"Now you listen to me, and you listen to me good." Cat's eyes were alight with angry fire and the sparks were back, exploding like fireworks through her body. She glared at Julian, fixing him in her burning gaze.
"You leave us alone. You don't touch us, you don't touch me, you don't threaten, manipulate or harm any of us. We are going to win the game, and then we're going to leave, and never hear from, see or think about you or your psychopathic sister ever again."
Julian smirked, stepping closer to her. He leant down, tilting her chin up so her lips brushed his as he spoke.
"The only way they are leaving is if you stay. We both know that, Cat. Just accept it."
She pushed him away, glaring daggers at him. "I'm sorry, but I decide my life. We are going to win. And then, you'll never see me again."
