Crystal

The room was beautiful. It was decorated as some kind of sitting room, with elegant furniture made of crystal, white velvet and silk.
Gentle music seemed to trickle from the ceiling, swirling all around her, as if from the very stars.
She tiptoed into the centre of the room, her skirt swishing delicately around her ankles, her soft slippers stepping delicately on the cool crystal floor.
The music flowed through the air, tugging at her body and mind, pulling her to dance.
Almost subconsciously she found herself swaying to the soft music.

Suddenly, she felt him. The same way she had sensed him all those years ago, like a spark of energy she could feel crackling in the dark.
A smile crept across her face, as she spoke the words she'd said once, long ago.
"Wait."
She paused for a delicious silence before continuing. "
I'm not afraid of you." Shivers ran down her spine as she said this. Afraid, no. Excited by, yes.
"Can I see you?"
Her smile widened in the silence.
"I know your there, please come out."
She heard him step out behind her and spun around to face him, dress rustling as the skirt swished around her.

Julian stood behind her, dressed in dark trousers and leather boots, with a loose white shirt tucked in at the waist. Cat caught her breath, surprised at how the sight of him sent her heart racing.

Slowly he stalked towards her, in steady, precise footsteps.
She grinned teasingly. "What are you?"
They were practically eye to eye now. Or would have been if Cat was a little taller. She craned her head back to look at him.
"Answer me, please."
Julian smirked.
"You can call me Julian"
"I don't care." Cat said, mock annoyed. "I asked what, not who."

Julian put an arm around her waist and drew her close, whispering seductively. "Now then, that's not polite. I was introducing myself, so that we could have a friendly conversation. And you now have an advantage. You know my name, but I don't know yours. So tell me, who are you?"
Cat crossed her arms, trying not to melt at his proximity. "Not telling."
Julian smiled wickedly and placed his lips on her collarbone. Moving up her throat he spoke between kisses. "Is it... purple eyes? Little princess? Rosy cheeks? Baby bird? Little cub? Petal?"
Cat tried to ignore the shooting stars filling her blood every time he touched her. She knew they were playing a game, and if she lost...
"It's Cat." She squeaked, his lips on her jawbone. "Catherine actually."
"Cat?" Whispered Julian, drawing level with her face. "Your not big enough to be a cat. You're hardly a kitten."
He kissed her, passionately, tangling his fingers in her hair as fireworks fizzed in their minds. Cat wrapped her arms around his neck, drawing him close.

"My little Kitten..."
