Lindsay, Moira and Valerian sat in a huddle, hands tied behind their backs, surrounded by guards.
Lindsay watched that bitch Talitha prancing around smugly in her over sized toilet roll holder of a dress.
God, she wanted to march over there and slap her smile right off her face.
Funny thing was though, Julian looked almost exactly like he wanted to. He'd shown up not long after Cat had gone into the cave, and immediately had been grabbed by Talitha and marched over to talk to her.
Talitha was smiling happily, talking away with fervor, completely oblivious to her brothers lack of attention or his wistful glances towards the cave.
Not as if he was worried about Cat, more as if he was waiting for something. Waiting for her to do something.Moira was thinking about the riddle. She knew they would need it to free Luke and possibly get them all out alive. Usually Cat was good at this, figuring out most of the previous ones. But she was... occupied. Moira didn't really want to think about the possibilities of that.
So she, Moira, decided to help by figuring it out."Well, for a start, there are the two verses from Jabberwocky. But that could just be referring to the fact that we are near the Jabberwocky cave.
And then there's the rest.'Keep me with you to survive,
In the fields of death few keep alive,
I am like a taller knife,
Deadly enough to end a life.'I wonder...
"Valerian?" Asked Moira "You know the poem Jabberwocky. Is there any weapons in it?"
"Well, there is the Vorpal sword, whatever that means. Why, is it..." Her eyes lit up. "You think it's the answer to the riddle!""Ssssh!" Hissed Moira. "I don't know, it's a possibility. It all depends if Luke has a sword."
"Look, I think he does!" Squealed Valerian. "It's there! He's resting his hand on it!"
"Great, now all we need is to distract the deck of cards so we can get it."A roar echoed from the cave.
