"Well, that was an adventure!"
Chuckled Cat as they walked out into the library. Lindsay was scowling, scratched and filthy. Their clothes, Cat had noticed, had changed back as soon as they left the meadow.
"God, how are you so cheerful?"
Snarled Lindsay.
"I-I don't know. Just am. Adrenaline?" Chirped Cat, removing twigs from her hair.

"Well, I must say, I am surprised at how easily you achieved that. I think most of that we can put down to luck though."
Both girls turned towards the voice. Talitha stood behind them in a cute little pink and black witch outfit.
"What?" She simpered. She looked down at the dress and gave a twirl. "You like? I would have given you something similar, Cat darling, but for some reason my brother objected. Still, ain't it fabulous?!"
"Shut up and tell us why your here." Cat's happy mood was gone. For some reason, Talitha really got on her nerves. She got the feeling Talitha didn't like her much either.
Talitha shrugged. "Just a progress check. You know, they will get harder than that, so if you wanna give up now..."
"Whoa, whoa, wait! What happens if we give up?" Interrupted Lindsay.
Cat didn't like Talitha's smile. It promised wicked and horrible things. "Anything I want."

This chilled Cat to the bone. But at the same time, she felt something wake up inside of her. She'd felt it before, in the fight with the thorns, and even earlier, just a spark, when she had first accepted the game. Now, it crackled inside her, burning to wipe the smile off Talitha's smug face.
She took a step forwards, lifting her gaze to meet Talitha's. They stood, eye to eye, toe to toe, Cat a little taller but Talitha radiated power, making her seem more threatening.
A spark danced in Cats eyes. "I don't give up easily. And by the way, I think a witch is a very good look for you."

So, what did you think of the fairytale, Rapunzel thing? Good idea? Needs work? Opinions needed!
