Gently, Cat picked up the note. The words seemed to shimmer in the light before shifting into a golden key.
Cat turned to her friends, holding up the glowing key. "Found it!"
"Yay! Open the door!" Squealed Valerian.
Cat walked over and slid the key into the lock. The door glowed gold and before they knew what was happening they were enveloped by the light.
They emerged in a beautiful world. Everything was bright and colourful. And large. So, so large. It felt as if they'd been shrunk to the size of your finger nail. The plants were huge, towering miles above them, hundreds of metres wide.
They looked around in awe. "Wow. This is just... wow!" Breathed Moira.
They walked along the cobblestone path in a tentative huddle. Cat couldn't help but feel intimidated by the place, all the strange and bizarre surroundings, both beautiful but at the same time terrifying.
Then they saw it. The signpost.
On the top of the post in gold letters were the words:
The path to insanity is your own.
Beneath that was signs pointing off in different directions, labeled: Cheshire, Curiouser, Who and Late.
Lindsay squinted up at the signpost "Well, what do you make of that?"
