Julian snarled at her. "Fine then. If you're still playing hero, then I'm still playing the villain. But let me tell you something. There's no way I would have taken your bet if I didn't think I'd win. I know what kind of person you are, Cat. At the end of the day, you'll do anything to save them. Anything."
He stepped closer again, drawing his face to hers once again. "Since your so determined to play the hero, I think you'll like this next game."
And he pressed something into her hands.
You'll need this"
It was a mask, made of black metal inlaid with jewels.

Cat looked at the beautiful mask in her palm. "What..."
But he had gone, disappearing back into the shadows as quickly as he'd come.
She turned to the others. "I have no clue what just happened. But anyway, let's go. I have no desire to be here any longer."

The others agreed, Luke gently testing his arm and wincing in pain at whatever Julian had doe to it.
Cat walked over to him, gently taking his wrist. "Moira, give me your jumper."
Taking the jumper, she fashioned a makeshift sling around his neck. "There, that'll do it. I'm sorry he targeted you out of jealousy because you're my best friend."
"Yeah, best friend." Luke echoed, sounding distant. Cat patted his cheek.
"Attention in the here and now, mate. No drifting off because of the pain. We need all our wits about us. Now, let's go upstairs and find the riddle."

The stairs were dark marble, streaked with veins of red amongst the black. Cat shuddered. Somehow, she knew this game would be the worst yet.
Searching through the shelves, Cat found the slip of paper, resting tauntingly on a peg.

Tentatively, she slipped it off and unfolded it.

A hero's prize,
Her long sought rest.
Win the battle,
Earn her crest.
The trees shed their leaves,
They tumble down.
To adorn the hero,
With her crown.

Cat felt like screaming. This was the least obvious one yet.
