JOSH'S VIEW

I slowly walked into the hall where Tyler's parents were, with red puffy eyes from crying.
I kept my head hanging low as I approached Mr. And Mrs. Joseph.

Mrs. Joseph instantly stood up from the chair she was sitting in when she seen me.
"Hey Josh. You doing okay now?" she asked putting a hand on my shoulder.
I nodded.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." I said quietly.
"Well that's good." Mr. Joseph said.
I nodded again.
"Um is there anything else you wanted to talk about? I don't mean to sound rude, just Tyler wanted me to take a nap."
"Oh yes." Mrs. Joseph exclaimed.
"You mentioned that your parents kicked you out?"
I hesitantly nodded.
"If you don't mind me asking, why?"
"Because I'm gay."
"Oh... I see.... Well where are you staying?"
"Um I'm not really staying anywhere in particular. I usually just ask around and see if any of my old friends would let me crash at theirs for a while. I'm always moving around cause whoever I stay with eventually gets fed up with me and tells me to leave."
"Oh my. Well were going to have to change that aren't we?"
"Yes we are."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"W-what are you talking about?"
Mrs. Joseph gave a soft smile.
"You don't have to say yes but you've helped Tyler so much and he wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for you so... If you'd like you can come stay with us for as long as you need."
I looked at Tyler's parents in shock. My eyes wide, eyebrows raised and mouth slightly agape.
"Are you serious?"
They nodded.
I felt tears form in my eyes.
"So what do you say?"
I reached my hand up to wipe my eye with the back of my hand and nodded.
"Aww hunny don't cry."
Mrs. Joseph pulled me into a hug.
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." I repeated over and over with my face buried in Mrs. Joseph's shoulder.
"Oh your welcome."
I slowly pulled away from the hug and looked at the ground.
"Just um one thing."
"What?"
"I-if I get annoying or something and you don't want me there anymore tell me and I'll leave."
"Oh nonsense you won't be annoying."
I nodded.
"I'm gonna go back in with Tyler now if that's okay."
"That's fine. Were going to go talk to Dr. Varrence about somethings when were ready to leave we'll come get you and take you to get your stuff so you can get settled at our house okay?"
"Sounds good. Thank you again."
"It's not a problem."
I smiled and walked back into Tyler's room.

Tyler was waiting patiently on his bed. His legs criss cross applesauce.
"Hi Joshie." he giggled.
I smiled.
"Hi Tyler."
"So what did my parents want?"
"They offered for me to stay with them since my parents kicked me out."
"Really?!"
"Yep."
"That's great!"
I walked over to the smiling boy.
"Are you gonna take that nap now?"
"Only if you cuddle me."
"I'm fine with that."
I laid down and Tyler crawled up beside me, laying his head on my chest.
I closed my eyes and held Tyler close.
"I can hear your heart beat."
Tyler whispered.
"Its soothing. I like it."
I just smiled.

I soon drifted off to sleep.

TYLER'S VIEW.

"Josh." I whispered.
"Joosshh."
"JOSH!"
He jolted awake and stared at me with wide eyes, calming down after a few seconds.
"You scared me."
"Sorry."
"What do you need Ty?"
"Um mom and dad said their leaving in a few minutes and told me to wake you."
"Oh.."
"I don't want you to go."
"I don't want to go."
I pouted.
"I hate being here. If I wasn't in here you could stay with me."
"I know but also if you weren't in here we would have never met."
"True. I still don't want you to go though. When your not here it's boring. Also blurry gets loud when I'm alone."
Josh frowned at my last words.
"How about this. I'll try to find a way in tomorrow to see you okay?"
"Okay."
Josh got up and gave me a kiss on the forehead before walking over to the door.
"Oh and before I go. Don't listen to blurry. No matter what he says. He's not telling the truth okay?"
I nodded and gave him a little wave as he left the room leaving me to sit alone with my thoughts.

*later that day*

"No!" I screamed at the voice echoing off the walls of my mind.
'YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT TYLER!'
"No your lying!"
'LOOK AT IT TYLER. HE ONLY PRETENDED TO LIKE YOU SO HE COULD GET A PLACE TO STAY!'
"No!!!"
'YOU'RE WORTHLESS TYLER! JOSH COULD NEVER LIKE SOMEONE LIKE YOU! HE'S ONLY PRETENDING!'
Blurrys words repeatedly rang in my ears.
"No stop! Your lying! YOUR LYING!"
I was crying now, standing in the middle of my room, gripping my hair.
'YOU KNOW I'M NOT!'
"YES YOU ARE!!"
'WORTHLESS!'
'USELESS!'
'UGLY!'
'FAT!'
The words overlapped each other in echos.
'ALL THESE THINGS AND MORE HOW COULD JOSH EVER LIKE YOU?!"
"No Josh says not to believe you!"
'WHO ARE YOU GOING TO LISTEN TO TYLER? ME? OR SOME BOY YOU MEET A FEW WEEKS AGO WHO DOESN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT YOU?!!!??'
I screamed in rage, pulling at the hairs that were currently in the grip of my fingers.
'JUST GIVE U-'

"Tyler?"
I quickly turned around, breathing heavy, to see a nurse standing in the doorway.
"What?" I asked bitterly.
"Who are you yelling at?"
"Blurry."
"Oh I see. What's he saying?"
The nurse walked into the room more and sat on my bed.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Just thought it might help."
"No. The only people allowed to know what he says is Josh and Dr. Varrence."
"Why is that?"
"Because I don't trust anyone else."
'GOD THIS NURSE IS GETTING ON MY NERVES! WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS? COMING INTO YOUR ROOM? SITTING ON YOUR BED? WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION? TRYING TO SEE WHAT I'M SAYING TO YOU? TELL HER TO LEAVE!'
"Get out." I said plainly.
"Get out? Why?"
"Because I said so."
"That's not a good reason Tyler."
The nurse was standing now, slowly walking toward me.
"Get away from me!"
"Tyler calm down."
The nurse grabbed my arm.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!"
"Shh."
Another nurse came in with a cup full of medication. The same medication that I've been refusing to take for the last like week or more.
"I'm not taking that."
"Yes you are. It'll help with blurry."
'IS SHE STUPID? TAKING THAT WON'T GET RID OF ME IT'S NOT THAT EASY.'
"No it won't."
"Yes it will."
"How do you know? You don't know what goes on in my head. Whether I'm taking that stupid stuff or not he's still there. He's always there, just sometimes he chooses to stay quiet."
"Just take your medication Tyler."
"No!"

I quickly ripped my arm out of her grip.
"You want to get better but you won't let us help."
"The medication doesn't help though!"
The nurses stayed quiet after that.
"Just leave me alone please."
They quietly left the room.

I sat down on my bed and looked around the empty room.
I'm tired.
Maybe I'll take a nap.
'GOODLUCK WITH THAT!'
'what your not gonna let me sleep?'
'NOPE!'
I sighed and laid back, staring at the ceiling.
