JOSH'S VIEW ~
Ever since yesterday when all the patients got out Tyler has been different.
What I mean by that is he's very clingy.
He lets me go to work and writes all day while I'm gone but the second I'm in the door he's stuck to my side.
I just got off work and I'm heading to Tyler's room now.
I slowly open the door.
Tyler's sitting on the end of the bed.
When he hears the door open he looks up.
"Hello."
"Hi."
I walk over to the bed and sit next to him.
He shuts his notebook, setting it aside and crawled into my lap.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know your just acting odd."
".....what do you mean?"
"Nothing."
He shrugged it off.
"How was work today?"
"Tiring."
He frowned.
"Does that mean your going to sleep?"
"I was planning too."
"Oh." He sounded disappointed.
"But if you want to we can cuddle til I fall asleep?"
He nodded.
We both laid down, I pulled him to my side and kissed the top of his head.
"I love you."
"I love you too."°~°
TYLER'S VIEW ~
I just woke up.
Josh is still sleeping.
My stomach hurts.
Really bad.
I slowly and quietly crawl out of the bed.
I look at him for a few minutes before going over to the buzzer and pressing it.
Kenny showed up not to long after.
"What can I do for you?"
"Take me to see Dr. James."
"Why?"
I glanced back at Josh.
"Because I need to talk to him."
"...okay."
I followed him down the hall.
When we arrived at Dr. James office I went in.
Dr. James turned to look at me."Hello Tyler.. where's Josh?"
"Sleeping."
"Oh..."
"I need to talk to you."
"Are you okay?"
I shook my head.
"Okay... Why don't you have a seat?"
I walked over to the chair he pointed to and sat down.
He moved his chair in front of me.
"Okay Tyler what do you want to talk about?"
"There's something wrong."
"What do you mean?"
I looked around the room.
"Tyler.."
"I don't know what it is."
"You don't know what's wrong?"
"No.. I... The thing."
"What thing?"
"My stomach."
"What about it?"
"It hurts."
"It hurts?"
I nodded.
"Okay stand up for me."
I do as I'm told.
"Okay can you take your shirt off?"
I nodded and pulled it up over my head.
"Okay stand straight.... Where does it hurt?"
I pointed to the area of the right side of my stomach.
"Okay. I'm going to do some tests okay?"
"Okay."I stood there as he checked a bunch of things.
"Alright Tyler I need you to not panic okay?"
"Okay... Why?"
"Your going to have to go in for surgery."
"Why?"
"Your appendix needs to be taken out."
"My appendix?"
"Yes."
"What happens if it's not taken out?"
"You could die."
I swallowed nervously.
I never had surgery before.
He must've saw how nervous I got.
"It's okay just sit down okay. Everything's fine. You don't need to be scared."
"When do I have to go?"
"As soon as possible. If your appendix burst while it's still in you it'll kill you."
Silent tears rolled down my cheeks.
"I-i never had surgery before."
"It's okay. I promise you won't feel anything. It'll be over before you know it."
Everything for the next while was a blur. The only thing I remember from before the surgery is when I freaked out when they tried to put the mask on me to put me to sleep.
Now I'm just waking up.
Josh is next to the hospital bed I'm in.
He doesn't realize I'm awake.
I reach my arm out he jumps.
"Tyler! Hey how you doing? Feel any pain?"
I shook my head.
I don't feel anything.
"That's good. Want anything?"
" Water." I croaked.
He nodded and stood up to get me some.
He came back and handed it to me.
I drank it and handed it back.
"I'm tired."
"You want to go back to sleep?"
I nodded.
"Okay I'll see you when you wake up."
He kissed my forehead and sat back down.
I smiled hazily before closing my eyes to sleep.
