CHAPTER 68: Walks.

"we're going to keep you here til next week and then if your still doing good you can go but...." Dr. James trailed off.
There's always a but isn't there.
"We will be sending someone to make weekly visits for the first few weeks after you leave just to make sure your doing okay and taking your medicine."
I nod.
"Will you be going to live back home or with Josh?"
"Well I'll be going home to get my clothes and other belongings then I'll be moving in with Josh."
"Okay."
"And you don't have to worry about him taking his medicine. I'll make sure he does."
"Okay sounds good. Oh before I leave, if Tyler acts up at all or has an episode or anything along the lines that should concern us... You call us right away."
Josh nodded.
"Will do."
"Okay, I'll see you guys later."
Dr. James left and I turned to Josh.
He smiled and so did I.
"Would you like to go get something to eat?"
I nod and follow him through the halls.
We eat and head back to my room.

"Josh.. can we talk?" I ask once we're back in my room.
He showed a look of concern but nodded.
"Yeah. Why? What's wrong?"
"What if when I get out I have an episode?" I ask starting to tear up.
"Hey hey no don't cry. It's okay."
He said pulling me into a hug.
"I-i don't want to come back here." I cried.
"I know baby, I know."
"I-i can't come back here."
"Your not going to come back. Okay? Do you hear me? Your not coming back. I promise."
I took a shaky breath.
"I'm scared I'm not going to be able to do it. What if I have an episode before I even get to leave?"
"I don't think it's going to happen."
"But what if it does? I can't stay here any longer Josh. I can't."
"I know and your not going to."
"C-can we cuddle?"
"Yes baby. Come on."
He took me over to the bed and laid down with me.
He pulled me close to his chest and tangled our legs together.
"I love you."
"I love you too." I sniffled.
He kissed the top of my head.
"Can you sing to me?"
"Sing to you? Why?"
"B-because."
"I'll try."
He took a deep breath and started to sing.
I relaxed, closing my eyes and letting the sound of his voice lull me to sleep.

Josh had to go home to feed Finn so now I'm alone.
I've been thinking a lot lately.
You know, like what if I do have an episode before or after I leave.
I don't know what I'd do.
I can't stay here any longer, I just can't.
I didn't realize I was crying until a tear landed on my pants.
I wiped my eye with the back of my hand.
"Hello Tyler." Dr. Varrence said as she came in.
"Hi." I croaked trying to wipe my tears quicker.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Just thinking is all."
"Okay.. want to talk about it?"
"No it's stupid."
"Are you sure?"
I nod.
"Okay... I want you to come for a walk with me today."
"Okay."
I stood up and followed her out of the room.
"Where are we going?"
"Just for a walk."
"How is that out of my comfort zone?"
"Well we're not going for a walk alone."
"What do you mean?"
We stopped by a few more rooms to get some people and they walked with us.
There was about three other people walking with us and I didn't know any of them.
This one guy kept bumping into me and walking on my heels.
I tried to ignore it but he kept doing it.
I stopped walking and he walked into me.
Dr. Varrence looked at me confused.
"Why did you stop?"
"He won't stop walking on my heels."
"Oh."
She turned to look at the guy.
"Stop it." She said sternly.
He nodded and we started walking again.
Not even thirty seconds later he did it again.
"Dr. Varrence he did it again."
"Jamie come over here and walk by me."
The dude sighed and moved to where Dr. Varrence had told him to.
"Thank you."
She nodded.

Soon enough I was back in my room, Josh was already there when I arrived.
I gave him a hug and told him what we did on our walk.
He said he was proud of me for not getting mad at the Jamie dude.
I shrugged.
It wasn't that hard really.
