Chapter 14

Emma's POV.

We arrive at Josh's house a little after 4pm. I still remember his house in vivid detail. It looks so intimidating from the outside but I can only imagine what the inside must be like.

"Well we're here. Are you guys ready to go? Do you need anything?" Josh asks while unbuckling his seat belt.

"Yeah actually I need to talk to Mickey for a second."

"Okay." he says. He leans against his seat and taps on the steering wheel.

"Alone.."

"Oh! Right yeah of course! We'll go wait inside, take your time." Connor and Josh exit the car and I turn to face Mickey.

"Two things: One. What are we going to do about my mom's car? Two. We didn't pick up the bacon and milk. And three. What are we going to freakin do how am I going to survive this night!"

"Okay first of all that's 3 things. Umm I have no clue we can call someone to pick the car up? AND EMMA CALM DOWN OKAY THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITY ENJOY IT, HAVE FUN, AND THIS TIME I'M HERE WITH YOU SO EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE. I PROMISE."

"Pinky promise?" I say holding out my pinky. Yes simple things like this manage to soothe me. She loops her pinky with mine and we shake on it.

"Okay let's go have some fun!" She yells running off to Josh's house. As we approach I slowly admire the houses' beauty even though I've seen it once before. Mickey opens the door and we enter inside.

"Woah."

"Wow." that's the only word I could muster up. It's just wow. It's nothing I expected it to be. It's a grand place with beautiful warm colors. The little details, from the hard wood floor to the engravings at the corners of the wall, are amazing. This house is homey, and cozy, the perfect place to live in.

"Dude your house makes my house look like crap!" Mickey says with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Uhh thanks?" Connor replies. I guess he came over while I was still in a daze.

"Are you guys okay? I heard some screaming from the car." he says laughing a little.

"Oh yeah we're fine! Just trying to figure out what to do with my car that's still at the market." I say nonchalantly.

"Right. Actually I can have one of our drivers pick up your car for you. I'll call him right now." Connor says dialing his number.

"Really? Thank you so much!" he looks up at me quickly, then looks back down dialing the number. He looks almost as if he's blushing. I give Connor my address so the car will be safely returned to my house. Josh enters the room a second later.

"Okay so my friends are coming over at about 7 which leaves us with 3 hours to spare. What do you want to do?" He asks.

"I'm cool with anything." Mickey says.

Do you ever get that feeling when you're completely memorized by a person's beauty? That's the feeling I'm feeling about Josh right now. He's breathtaking. He big brown eyes are so captivating that I zone out everything around me so I could take in his beauty.

"Emma?" Mickey says nudging me in the ribs.

"Wait what?" I ask my cheeks flushing red.

"Are you okay with watching a movie?" Josh asks. He looks a little flushed himself probably because he caught me staring at him.

"Yeah yeah yes that sounds good." I say trying to save myself.

Connor leads the way to their movie room. A movie room. It is so cool inside I have to do a double take.
