Emma's POV.

Today's the big day. As much as I'm going to hate seeing him go, I'm so happy for him. So incredibly happy for him. His career is skyrocketing and he's on top of the world. These past few months have been bliss. Even all the fights and all the times we haven't been together were amazing. I hope he knows how much he means to me.

I hate that I can't spend every possible minute with him today. It kills me. So much needs to be said yet there is so little time. The sound of the school bell snaps me out of my thoughts.

Everyone takes a seat and for a moment I'm relieved that the seat next to mine is empty. But of course someone decides to change that.

"This campus is too big for me. I cant even get around without using this map." he sighs over dramatically and drops his things on the desk. My attention is immediately focused on his voice. He has a british accent. His light brown hair is ruffled to the side in a messy manner.

"Right? I'm sure it'll get easier later on. It is only day two." I tell him.

"Honey I'm a sophomore. It doesn't get any easier." he laughs and I can't help but join him.

"It's Emma right?"

"Yeah how'd you know?"

"You're the main talk around campus."

"I am?" my voice becomes quiet. He quickly notices the change.

"I shouldn't have said that I'm sorry. I bet it's nothing but good things."

"Don't worry about it." I give him a reassuring smile. He smiles back in return.

"I'm David."

"Nice to meet you." he seems like a nice guy, one of the friendliest I've met so far. And his accent is a plus. The teacher begins to talk and we turn our attention to her. Maybe pre-med will be fun after all.

Josh's POV.

I've been packing for an hour. It's not like I have many things I need to take, I just try to waste time away until I get to see her. But mainly, I've been thinking about what would have happened if she waited until next semester to go to UCLA. She could have came with me on the tour. I know she would have loved it. Catching Fire is her favorite book and she would die to meet Jen.

Once I've finished packing, I go downstairs to grab a snack. Connor is there making a sandwich.

"Hey can you make me one of whatever you're making?"

"I guessssss." he exaggerates the word.

"Hey you won't be seeing me for a while so appreciate my needs."

"Are you packed and everything?" he asks.

"Yup."

"Catching Fire is going to be huge so that should be fun." he hands me the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As we sit, my thoughts keep trailing back to Emma.

"You're good friends with Emma right?"

He nods his head as he takes another bite out of his sandwich.

"Do you mind checking up on her now and then? I hate that I won't be there for her if something happens. Especially with him there and all. "

"Yeah of course I was planning on doing that anyways. Who's him?"

"Oh she hasn't told you yet?"

He shakes his head.

"We ran into Evan. He goes to UCLA too." his mouth falls open.
