Josh's POV.

I stay standing outside the bedroom door, trying to process things. So far everything is going according to plan. I need to help Connor. That's all I need to do. I can't let my feelings get in the way.

But I do have to admit, my feelings for Emma have intensified. I still get nervous around her and try not to embarrass myself. She is so stunning and I have to pull myself away from her just for the sake of Connor.

He's my brother. It wouldn't be fair if I just came in and ruined everything they had, whatever it was. Besides, he knows her more than I would like to admit. Sure he made a really stupid mistake, but everyone is bound to make one.

Is what he said the other night true? I never really thought about it until now. Do I always take the girls that he likes? I like her, Emma, a lot. The day I met her I knew their was something different, something captivating about her. Sure she was probably spazzing out because she's a major fan, but she's not like the others. She's more than just a fan. She's funny, and it's not just her beauty that's captivating, it's her personality. But that's the thing. How can you like someone you barely know? These stupid feelings are going to mess everything up.

Emma's POV.

".. and we have to keep in touch!"

"Of course we do Evelyn! I can feel a great friendship brewing. We have your number and you have ours." Mickey and I were saying our goodbyes before we had to go home. I was actually relived that we were leaving.

"Do you guys have everything?" Josh asks.

"Yeah I think so. Oh, umm I'm still wearing your clothes." I say awkwardly.

"Don't even worry about it. You might as well keep them they look better on you anyways."

"Thanks." I say, while a blush rises to my cheeks.

"You need to stop thanking me." he jokes.

"I think our ride is here." Mickey says while looking out the window. A yellow cab pulls up into the driveway and honks.

"I really feel bad for not getting both of you a better ride." he says.

"Josh, you've done more than enough for us." Mickey says.

Mickey and I hug Evelyn before we leave. Connor was no where in sight.

"Bye, Evelyn. Bye, Josh see you tomorrow?"

"See you tomorrow." he responds. He stares at his feet the whole time. I'm tempted to embrace him in a hug but realize that I'd probably never let go from his hold.

The cab is warm in comparison to the chilly night we just had.

"Hello ladies where can I take you?" the cab driver asks. Mickey tells them my address as we pull out of the driveway.

"Wait! Emma!" Josh yells. The cab driver stops abruptly, making my heart skip a beat.

Josh jogs over and I roll my window down.

"Oh God what happened are you okay? Who died?!"

He chuckles.

"No one died but I just realize that I don't have your number. And I guess you don't have mine."

"I guess you're right." I hand him my cell and he hands me his. I simply just put my name in as "Emma" deciding not to overdo it.

"Here you go." We quickly switch back phones.

"Okay I won't hold you guys any longer. Have a great day! Bye!"

"Bye!" Mickey and I say in unison.

Finally, the cab driver continues down the road.

Mickey's POV.

"Soooo..." I start.

"Huh?" Emma replies disorientated.

"What have you been smiling about for the past 10 minutes."

Ever since Josh left the cab, she's had this dazed look on her face while staring at her phone.

"It's nothing." she says.

"Come on tell me!" I beg.

"Okay well there's two things. Josh Hutcherson gave me his phone number and I'm wearing Josh Hutcherson's clothes so I think I deserve to be a little flustered." she says in one breath. But I can tell that there's something she's not telling me.

"Can I see your phone?" I ask her.

"Um, no?" she tucks it into her pocket.

"Emma, don't you make me take it..." I warn her.

"Mickey no don't!"

"Emmmmmma."

"Ugh fine take it."

She hands it over deciding it was best that I won this argument. Hmm what is she hiding... I assume that it has to do something with Josh so I start scrolling through her contacts. And there I see the contact name "This Is Really Me." I click on the contact and read the messages.

This Is Really Me: Emma?

Emma: Josh? Is that really you? ;)

This Is Really Me: Haha. Yes. I swear it is.

"Awwwww. This is so cute!" she starts to blush.

"Shut up." she says jokingly snatching her phone away.

"I hate to interrupt your conversation but we have arrived at your destination." the cab driver says.

"Thank you so much how much will that be?" Emma asks.

"Nothing, courtesy of Josh Hutcherson. You girls are very lucky to know him."

"We know. Thank you again."

The sun was out, which was odd since the weather was the complete opposite yesterday.

"That was nice of him." I say closing the cab door.

"Extremely."

I follow her to the front door and she unlocks it with her keys. And in there waiting for us was her dad, and to my dismay, Elijah.

"Where the hell have you girl been?!"
