It's funny, how one little detention could change my life forever.

Y/n l/n: Second lead singer and backup bass.

I remember that day very well.

I can't believe I got a detention for punching Ray... well I can believe it, but he totally started it!!

"You, what's your name?" Mrs. Reznick asked me.

"Y/n l/n."

"Why are you in detention? You're not on my list." She stated.

"I punched Ray." I said quietly.

"Oh."

I kinda fell asleep after that, but I woke up and she was gone.

The others were cleaning up.

I looked over to Charlie Delgado. He's on the soccer team.

He also plays the drums. But not many people know that.

He was insanely cute, and didn't even know it, which made him even cuter in my opinion.

I stood up and got the broom, sweeping.

I started noticing a beat and Olivia started singing, and then the boys started playing actual instruments.

I sang along with her and noticed Charlie smiling at me, but that was just because we were all having fun.

I was with Charlie in his garage as he practiced on of our songs.

He seemed upset about something but I didn't know what.

One of his drumsticks snapped in half and he grunted angrily getting up.

"Charlie, what's wrong?" I asked but he ignored me.

He slammed the drawer shut after getting a new pair, but slammed his fingers in it.

"Oh my god, Charlie!" He sat on the ground holding his hand.

"I'm gonna go get your mom."

I got his mom and she was getting ready to take him to the emergency room.

"Do you want me to come with?" I asked him politely.

"Depends on if you're gonna spend all your time with Ray instead of me." He said with an attitude.

"What are you talking about? I hate Ray."

"Oh really? Because he told me that you guys hooked up."

What? I would never do that, I like Charlie not Ray. I actually hate ray, he's an asshole.

"And you believed him?" I asked incredulously.

"I don't know!"

I scoffed and shook my head, grabbing my jacket.

"Well I didn't, Charlie. I think it's pretty clear that I like someone else." I angrily walked out of his garage and walked home.

I had ghosted pretty much the entire group except for Wen.

"Ray told him that we hooked up, when we didn't! And Charlie believed him!" I yelled.

"Yeah, Olivia's pissed at me too. I said some stuff about Sydney and how she's marrying my dad and-"

"They're getting married!?"

"Yep. That's how this happened." He moved his sunglasses to reveal a black eye.

"Oh my god!"

"Our entire group is falling apart right before Rising Star." I sighed. "I can't even look at Charlie, let alone perform with him."
