"I'm so sick and tired of your disrespectful attitude! Can you not do one god damn thing I ask of you!? Just once!?" My dad yelled.

"I do everything around here, can I not just have a break? Just one day off from doing anything?" I asked gently.

"All you ever do is sit back locked away in your bedroom!"

"I do them while you're at work."

"Then how come there is mud on the floor!?"

"Because you just walked in, oh my god!" I started crying.

"You're so damn lazy, I should've raised you better."

"You should've raised me period. I had to go over to David's house just to eat, and shower! His parents took way better care of me than you ever did!"

"Then why are you still here!? Why don't you just go live with David!"

"Because I didn't want to leave you alone with nobody! Despite you being a total bitch and a horrible father, I still care about you!" I yelled.

He slapped me across the face and pushed me against the wall.

"Go to your fucking room."

"I'm 22, you can't tell me what to do anymore!"

"You live under my roof!"

"Fine. Then I'm moving out. Don't call, don't text. Don't ever try to contact me again."

I went to my room and packed up all my stuff.

My dad was passed out on the couch by the time I was done.

I went to David's parents house and knocked on the door.

"Y/n! It's so nice to see you again. Why do you have all your stuff?"

"I-I left." I broke down in tears and his mom hugged me, while his brother helped me carry in a couple bags.

"Can I go to David old room and call him?"

"Of course."

I went into his old room and called him.

"Y/n? What's up?"

"David," my voice broke.

"Hey, what's wrong? What happened?"

"I left. My dad and I got into a really bad fight and he  hit me and pushed me and I- I left."

"Where are you?"

"Your parents house. They're being so nice to me. I don't deserve it. David, I need you."

"Yes you do. I'll try to be there as soon as I can, okay?"

"I-okay. I'm sorry for making you fly over here this late..."

"You aren't making me. I'll let you know when I get to the airport okay?"

"Okay. Thank you."

"I'll see you soon."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

I walked back into the kitchen after wiping my face off, and they were eating dinner.

"David is taking a flight here. He should be here in the morning." I told his family. I turned to go back to his room, when his mom stopped me.

"Sit down, eat some dinner. I've been trying to put some weight on you since middle school." She smiled at me and I sat down.

"Thank you."
