'What's it like being best friends with the guy who plays Mike Wheeler?'

That is the type of question I get all the time.

Nobody actually cares about me, they just care about my friendship with Finn.

Which is okay, I'm not salty about it.

I'm salty because every day I get hammered with questions about him and Millie, or him and Sophia Lillis.

"Guys, we go through this every morning, leave y/n alone, please." Finn came to my rescue.

He opened the school doors for me and we walked in.

"Thanks Frog Face." I smiled at my best friend, who seemed to have been up all night.

"No problem, y/n/n." He smiled and nudged me.

We both went to our first period class, English.

"Did you stay up playing video games?" I chuckled.

"No, my neighbors dog was barking all night."

"Ugh, they need to train him already." I complained.

"You're telling me." He scoffed.

For most of the class period we did nothing.

I was staring at Finn, smiling. While he was talking to one of his other friends, Keith.

I got a notification on my phone.

I pulled it out of my pocket gently and looked at it.

It was in the group chat that included the whole stranger things cast and I.

It was from Millie.

'Y/n totally likes Finn.'

'Shut up Millie!' I typed in quickly.

Well that probably made it seem like I do like him. I mean I do but still, It'd ruin a lot of he knew.

I saw him look at his phone.

Finn is typing...

I got really nervous. He wasn't looking at me or anything.

'Nice' he replied.

Nice? Oh god!

I texted Finn separately.

'I don't know what Millie is talking about' I lied to him.

'So you don't like me?'

I didn't exactly know how to respond.

'I can see you blushing, remember' he sent.

My eyes widened and I looked up at him, he was smiling and looking at me.

"Wanna go out tonight?" He asked in person.

I lightly smiled and shook my head, causing my h/c hair to fall into my face.

I pushed it back behind my ear.

"I'll pick you up at 6." He winked at me.

Holyyyyyy shitttttttt. I'm going on a date with Finn Wolfhard, my best friend of 4 years.
