I was always in the background, someone who didn't exist. I sit behind Farkle. He's a genius and high school is a time where your hormones go crazy. Riley has Lucas, Maya has josh. Zay has Vanessa from Texas.

Leaving Farkle all alone after Smackle cheated on him.

Our topic for the day was no doubt going to be about the five of them.

What the hell is our Final going to be like?

I sat in my desk, ready for a period of talking about whatever problems the girls are having today. Yay.

I decided to read a book, nobody would notice anyway.

"Do you guys even know your classmates?" Me. Matthews asked The group of five.

"Of course we do," Riley and maya went off naming a few classmates.

"And that's Yogi." Riley smiled.

"You forgot one sweetheart."

"What? No I didn't." She chuckled.

Farkle looked at me.

"You forgot about Y/n."

"You know my name?" I asked in shock.

"Of course." He smiled. "You read a new book every week, and you sit in the library during lunch because you prefer reading over everything."

"Not everything. But yeah."

"How come I've never noticed you? You sit right behind Farkle." Riley asked.

I shrugged. "You weren't looking for me, so I guess you just didn't notice me."

"I've noticed you," Lucas said.

"You have?" Riley asked full of jealousy.

"Yeah, whenever we used to have Farkle Time she would pay attention. That's like the only time she ever paid attention. I notice her staring at-"

"Lucas! Shh!" I interrupted him.

Farkle looked at me with a smile.

"Do you want to come to Topanga's with us after school?"

It was my turn to smile. "Yeah, that sounds fun."

After school, I headed with the group to topanga's.

"So, y/n. What do you like to read?"

"I like reading about supernatural things, witches, vampires, werewolves."

"Those things can't exist. It's not physically possible." Farkle spoke up.

"Tell that to my cousin Damon." I laughed.

The boys went up to the counter to order us some smoothies.

I was staring and smiling at Farkle.

"So you like Farkle. Lucas told us."

"I- I mean yes. I think what Smackle did to him is so horrible. How could she intentionally hurt him like that? He doesn't deserve that. He deserves someone who loves him and cares for him and doesn't treat him like crap." I ranted.

"Give us one minute."

They grabbed Lucas and Zay, and told Farkle and I to stay.

"How far have you gotten in this weeks book?" He broke the silence.

"I only have a couple chapters left. Honestly, this one wasn't my favorite, but it's well written and the plot is very good."

"Have you really been in our class since 7th grade?" He asked kind of sadly.
