"Have you met the new guy yet?" The girl from the locker beside mine asked.

"No. Is he hot?"

"Insanely. But you already know Eden is going to go for him so what's the point."

"Yeah honestly." We engaged in small conversation before heading our separate ways.

I went to class and low and behold guess who was there. Tyler Locke. He is hot.

I took the liberty of sitting next to him, the boy who normally sat there just went with it.

"Hi, I'm Tyler." He introduced himself to me.

"Hi Tyler. I'm y/n." I smiled politely and looked him up and down with a slight nod. "How you liking matheson so far?"

"Haven't seen much. We went to the ice cream place on the way here but that's it."

"Fair. Maybe I could show you some cool places."

"I will take you up on that offer as soon as we get settled into the house."

"Perfect. Here's my number." I gave him a small strip of paper with my number and a little heart on it. He nodded and the teacher started talking.

That night I went to the party everyone was talking about going to.

"Y/n, I wasn't expecting to see you here. You don't seem like a partier." Tyler spoke from behind me, causing me to look at him.

"I'm not. I come to make sure nobody gets drugged."

"Oh, uh does that happen a lot?"

"No, it's never happened before but that doesn't mean that it can't happen."

"Better safe than sorry I guess. It sucks that women have to think that way and be worried about that kind of stuff."

"Yeah. Tell me about yourself, though. What's it like being Tyler?"

"Well I'm sure you know why we moved here. I have a younger sister named Kinsey and a younger brother named Bode. Their both... a lot. What about you? Any siblings?"

"I have a sister, Eden. I'm sure she's introduced herself already."

"She's your sister? God you two are so different."

"Thank you for that. That's probably the best compliment I've ever gotten." I laughed a bit. His eyes glanced down from my eyes to my lips. I noticed, how could I not? I was doing the same thing.

"You wanna come back to my house? I could show you around key house."

I nodded.

He started driving us there but we had to pick up his sister.

I got out of the passenger seat and let her sit up front. I'm not going to make her sit in the back of their own car.

"Kinsey this is y/n, y/n this is my sister Kinsey."

"Hi." I said nicely.

"Hi." She said with attitude. I can already tell what Tyler meant by 'a lot'

When we got to their house, Bode yelled and we all ran upstairs. I saw their mom in the mirror. And then Tyler had to go in? He stepped into the mirror like it was a normal door.

After we pulled them out I started freaking out.

His mom instantly forgot what just happened. After she left, we all started talking.

"What the heck was that?" I wanted to watch my language in front of the child.

"The magical key I was telling you guys about." He said to his brother and sister.

"Who are you?" Bode asked.

"I-I'm y/n, Tyler's friend."

"You can't tell anybody about this okay!" He started yelling at me seriously. I found it very funny. But I agreed.

"This is probably the coolest thing that's ever happened to me. No way am I sharing it with anyone but you guys."

"Why should you even get to be apart of this? You're not family."

"Yeah, yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, I just thought that-"

"Well stop."

She's a fucking brat.

I looked at Tyler.

"I think that's my queue to leave. Tyler, you wanna walk me out?"

"Yeah." We stood up and he walked me out.

"I am so sorry about her. She's been a bitch ever since the accident."

"It's okay, Ty. I can't even begin to understand what you guys are going through. People cope in different ways."

"You're insane."

"Says the guy who lives in a house with magic keys."

"You saw it with your own eyes. That means you're crazy too."

"We can be crazy together. Like Harley Quinn and The Joker."

"Weren't they in love?" He asked.

"We'll get there, we'll get there." I chuckled slightly.

"I'm sure it won't be too hard." He gave a small smile and stared at me. I copied the action.

"Do you need a ride home?" He asked.

"No, I can walk. There's a shortcut through the woods."

"Okay. Call me when you get home."

"Yes sir."  I turned around and began walking home. I took a shortcut through the woods like I mentioned. I got home safely, going to my room and calling Tyler.

I got sent to voicemail, so I left one.

"Hey, I assume you fell asleep. I'm home now. Uh, I had fun tonight except you know, the part where your mom went through the mirror. Anyway, that's not important. Um, goodnight and sleep well, Tyler." I hung up and went to my bathroom. I took a shower and stepped out. I began hearing whispers.

It led me to my mirror. I opened it (it is one of those old 60's mirrors that opens up.)

I pulled off the back and saw a key.

It had a round handle with two clock hands on it. A simple clock.

I have to talk to Tyler in the morning...
