Season Two, Episode One
Danny was true to his word, when we got to Kiril he didn't try to put up a fight, rather just repeatedly asking for his lawyer the entire drive to the precinct, and once we got there he told me to go home. I didn't need to be told twice. I made a quick stop by my desk to grab a few folders, and checked with Danny that he was really alright with me leaving, before hurrying out the back door. Only when I got outside did I realize I was once again without transportation, but I was lucky to hail a cab quickly. I dozed off in a matter of seconds, hoping that the man could find my apartment without my help.
I didn't remember much of the drive, and the cabbie decided to wake me up by honking his horn. I shot awake, passing the man the proper fare before hurrying out of the back of the cab and slamming the door shut behind me. I unclip Kenai's leash, sitting on the stoop of my apartment while she ran off to burn some energy before going to bed.
I propped my head on my hand, and my elbow on my knee, wrapping my spare arm around around my chest for some form of warmth. My eyes slowly fell shut, but I kept an ear out for Kenai as I did.
"You loose your keys?" I perked up, looking at the origin of the voice, and smile brightly.
"Jameson," I spoke with a sigh, pushing myself into a standing position and throwing my arms around his shoulders. "It's good to see you my love." My words came out muffled, as my mouth landed in between his shoulder and neck. He did a little laugh-sigh as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Where are your keys Jett?"
"Hmm." I hummed, pressing a kiss into his neck before pulling away. I lifted my keys in my hand, spinning on my heels and unlocking the door. "After you?" Jameson smiled, walking past me and into the flat. I whistled, and Kenai came shooting across the street and inside the landing. I watched as she shot past Jameson, bumping into him as she trampled up the stairs. I couldn't stop myself from laughing as Jameson lost his balance.
I stepped inside, locking the door behind me and grabbing Jameson's hand as I passed by. Kenai was sitting at the door when we reached the top, I opened it for her, and she ran in. Jameson made sure to close the door behind the two of us, and as he turned I pulled him towards me. I placed my hand on his neck, kissing him deeply. He leaned into the kiss, and I used my other to hold him up just a bit.
I pulled away, walking backwards and laying down on the couch. Jameson laid next to me, his head resting on my chest. "How was your day my love?" I held his hand, pressing a kiss to it after I asked.
"Long." I smiled, holding back my laughter so I didn't disturb him. "You?"
"The same," I felt my eyes slowly shut. "Are you tired?"
It took him a minute to respond, "No." I could hear the sleep in his voice, "You?"
"Not one bit." I fell asleep right after saying that, and suddenly Jameson got just a little bit heavier on my chest, and I knew that he had fallen asleep too.
What a life, to sleep in your lovers arms.
