/ First Person Protagonist POV /
" Excuse me?" I asked, startled, even though I had heard what Leone had said perfectly well. What did she mean by: the rumors? And how am I supposed to know about them?! I literally just came back! I lamented. She eyed the room doubtfully before whispering again, " the rumors, you know... Are they true?" I looked at her with a puzzled look on my face and shrugged. " Rumors? I'm sorry Leone, I don't know what rumors you're talking about..." I told her politely. Does she even know I was under the radar from the Final Order, hiding for a month?! I sarcastically told myself.
" Right. I thought so too, but maybe you could've known. I'm sorry to have asked, ma'am." She replied, a little nervous. " I mean, y/n. Sorry." I smiled at her slightly, she looked a little frightened, and I tried making her feel less anxious " Don't worry about it, Leone." I told her. She smiled back and stood up, pacing around the hospital room nervously. What has gotten into her? I pondered as I followed her figure with my eyes. She looked so nervous, as if she couldn't say anything without paying for the consequences, as if someone was listening to our conversations.
" Anyways, how are you feeling, y/n?" Leone asked, dusting off her perfectly clean medic attire. " According to the medical droids' report, your wound was very infected. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to you?" I placed the pillow on the wall the bed was against and sat up, leaning on it as I cleared my throat. " Funny story: A Dathomirian bounty hunter stabbed me with a titanium dagger while I battled him with a lightsaber. Quite embarrassing." I said carelessly, like it was normal, as a joke.
Leone smiled nervously and shifted her weight to her left leg, I could tell she hadn't understood it was humor. " Yes... If you say so." She whispered. I laughed a little bit and shook my head, " relax Leone, it's a joke!" Her shoulders seemed to loosen and she exhaled a little louder than a normal breath. " Relieving to hear, y/n." She added. " No, but really, that's pretty much what happened. Not really embarrassing though, just... odd?" I said in humor once more, realizing it wasn't such a good idea.
I lifted the bottom of the black post surgery shirt I had on, and looked at the wound. The stitching was very well done and almost looked invisible, but I didn't expect nothing else from the Final Order's technology. Nicely done. I bet I can walk without difficulty, I told myself, but I was tired, even if I had spent the past days sleeping. Or maybe I was simply very lazy... Or both.
" Hey Leone?" I asked the assistant nurse as she walked back towards the hospital bed. " Yes, y/n? Is everything alright?" She asked as she took a seat on the same stool once more. " Yes, everything's fine. I just want to talk? I haven't talked to anyone in a while." I lied. But truth was, I did really want to talk, and find out more about the mysterious rumors she had brought up. " Of course, y/n. What do you want to talk about?" Leone questioned, and I knew I would be the one leading the conversation, which would sound more like an interrogation. I was almost certain Leone wouldn't be the one asking me questions.
My mind buzzed around the idea of the possible rumors Leone had told me about, giving me more of a headache than I already had. Maybe they're rumors about me escaping the First and Final Orders more than twice... I tried reassuring myself, even if my mind was drifting yet again to the worse possible case. Maybe someone on The Finalizer had noticed the odd behavior between me and Kylo, or perhaps they had seen something happen between us. If that was the case, our relation was doomed, there was one or more out of thousands of people on the star destroyer that could've witnessed anything .
" Where do you come from?" I asked her.
Leone appeared to be thinking of that answer, as if she had no idea where she was from, but maybe she really didn't. " Naboo." She said, her eyes zoning off.
" Naboo? Must be really pretty there." I told her, picturing a beautiful island surrounded by water, with a white marbled building and vines growing on its wall. " Yes, it is a beauty." Leone replied. " How about you, y/n? Where is your home planet?" I didn't have to hesitate once to tell her the honest, yet sort of sad truth on my recent past. " I don't know. I woke up stranded in a dessert on Tatooine, but something tells me I'm not from there." I told her without transparency.
I wasn't embarrassed or ashamed that I didn't remember where I was from or anyone I knew before, it just made me sad, sometimes angry, and to most people I had told this to, they always seemed to show sympathy, and in worse cases: I could catch a glimpse of pity in their eyes. " But not to worry! I do not need to know where I came from, because, over the past year, I've grown to find somewhere I can call home." I told Leone before she could say the typical: I'm so sorry to hear that.
" That is very wise for a young lady to say, y/n." She told me instead, and I smiled.
The nurse stood up and started heading for the little side corridor of the room that led to the rest of the infirmary, but I couldn't let her go without answers. " Leone, wait!" I told her as I sat up on the hospital bed and extended my hand to her, even though she was many yards away. " What is it, ma'a- y/n?" She asked me, interrupting herself.
" I need to know something." I told her as she stepped closer. " Tell me everything about these rumors."

This was like a little welcome chapter for Leone!!!
Now, someone asked me how Leone's name was pronounced, so here ya go, I'm going all dictionary on you: Leone's name is literally pronounced: Lay- own.
I found her name pretty cool, cause it kind of sounds like Lion in Spanish.
I hope you liked this chapter! I can't wait to share what the rumors are!!!!! For now, I'll leave you to guess!
Best wishes to all,
- Camille
