/ Third Person POV /

( Resistance base, D'Qar ) ( Present time )

" Rey, please sit down. You have to calm down." Poe told her, as she paced around the command room of the resistance base in D'Qar impatiently.

" I can't. I've got to think about a possible answer to what we saw in Kijimi, I need to meditate, I-" Rey babbled, when she was interrupted by Poe. " Rey, what you need is to rest. Have you even slept since we came back?" He mentioned, noticing the visible dark circles under Rey's eyes. Rey scoffed and sat down on a bench, holding her head with her hands and leaning her elbows on her knees.

" I'm sorry, Poe. You're right, I've barely slept. The thoughts of the dagger and seeing y/n in that situation flood my mind." Rey said, as Poe sat next to her. " Do you think she may be... dead? I mean, did you see how much blood there was? The puddle..." She muttered. Poe wrapped his arms around his friend and leaned his head on top of hers, trying to calm Rey down.

" We can talk to the general, when she comes back." Poe whispered as Rey nodded silently and leaned on her friend's shoulder, closing her eyes and breathing heavily.  Good, at least she's listening to me now, Poe joked to himself as he patted Rey's back.

Rey shot up from the bench and looked at Poe worriedly, " But, what do you think happened?!" She insisted. Poe exhaled grumpily and stood up. " Look Rey, it's not that I don't care about y/n, because I do! She was my friend, my comrade. But now that she's cut all ties with the resistance, including us, the mistakes and situations she has and will get herself in are none of our concern." He said with a sad and tired tone.

" We can't risk the resistance for one person, when we can save the whole galaxy." He muttered as he looked away.

" You know what, Poe?" Rey said calmly. " Remember when General Leia had gathered all of us around a large bonfire, maybe three or four months ago?" She asked Poe, while he nodded. " It was for y/n. To celebrate her integration in the resistance. They had never done that before, to any of us when we joined." Rey said as she stood up.

" What are you trying to say?" Poe asked, keeping his head held high but not of pride. " Y/n is not just a person, Poe. She's something neither me or Leia had heard about before, something we didn't know could even exist: a disruption in the force... I shouldn't be telling you this now, but me and the general... talked about her, and her effect on the force." Rey whispered. " Talked? Rey, I think you should wait for the general to arrive to tell me this, I mean, she may not want you to share." Poe muttered nervously, even if he was really curious to know what Rey had to say.

" Then you wont need to wait much longer." Came a voice from behind him, General Leia's. She walked towards the two and sat down in the bench next to Rey. " General. You're back." Poe stated as he sat down in a chair a couple feet away. " How was the operation?" He asked. " Could have been better, Poe. But it didn't go as bad as it could have." Leia replied, turning her head towards Rey. " Do you think it is the right moment to tell him what we talked about, Rey?" She asked, and Rey nodded. " Yes, General. You see, while on Kijimi... we stumbled across her, and it wasn't a pretty sight to see." Rey mumbled, remembering y/n's puddle of blood next to the dead Dathomirian, and the Mandalorian bounty hunter.

Leia looked at her boots, and remained silent. Whatever it had been that Finn, Poe, and Rey had seen in Kijimi that had to do with y/n was nothing good, and she didn't want anymore bad news for now. " Then I guess you're right, Rey. I think now is the right time to share our theories on y/n." She firmly stated as she dusted off her attire.

" Y/n is powerful. We knew it instantly, she has an effect on the force like no other. Not even my... father had that result with the energy around us." Leia started telling Poe, as he leaned closer to hear her better. " Do you know what Midi- chlorians are, Poe?" Leia asked. " Should I be embarrassed if I say no?" Poe replied as a joke, but he seriously had not the greatest clue of what those are.

" Midi- chlorians, how do I explain this? They're living organisms inside of force users' cells. The more concentration of Midi- chlorians there is in one cell, the more powerful with the force the person is. Does that make sense?" Rey answered. Poe shook his head doubtfully. " Sort of, but I get the main point." He said. " Me and Rey came up with the theory that to cause so much turmoil in the force, y/n has to be gifted with an incredible amount of Midi- chlorians per cell, maybe even higher than the most powerful Jedi before the galactic war." General Leia said in a loud whisper.

" Well? Does she?" Poe demanded to know, curious of what Rey and Leia's theory was going to. " We don't know. We never took her blood sample." Rey lamented.

" But what does this have to do with anything? With y/n possibly have killed someone, and the message in the Sith Dagger?!" Poe asked impatiently. " Y/n did what?!" Leia asked as she stood up. Both Rey and Finn looked away as they remembered the scene in Kijimi. " It's what I was meaning to tell you, General. About y/n." Rey whispered.

" Y/n took her decision, Rey. It also hurts me to think about what she will go through, but we must not stray from our purpose as the resistance." Leia said, placing her hand on Rey's shoulder.

" But something, a gut feeling maybe, tells me that won't be the last time we see her."
